We stayed in the junior suite and it was beautiful. The staff were super attentive and responsive. We ate at the hotel a few times and everything was delicious. Location couldn’t have been better. You’re a five minute walk from the beach and shops and restaurants meaning that we didn’t need to get taxis or scooters.
There was a small issue with one of our sliding doors breaking but the staff saw to it very quickly

The location is ideal- away from the noisy main street but within easy walking distance of the beach and restaurants. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our room had a quiet and efficient air conditioner so it was easy to sleep at night. The staff were very friendly and Eric in particular. He fixed breakfast for us each of the 8 days we were staying and the fruit bowl was delicious and very good value.
There was no information pack in the room but we soon figured out everything that we needed to know.

Beautiful design and friendly reception staff, but unfortunately the experience does not justify the price at all.
Casa Umi is priced like a top-end luxury hotel, yet the level of service, infrastructure and amenities falls far short of that standard. No one helped us with our luggage, water in the room was not replenished unless requested, and there are very few services or amenities overall. We also had no hot water in our room; we reported it and were told maintenance would look into it.
The hotel has a very informal feel, which can be perfectly fine at the right price, but not when charging luxury-hotel rates. Other hotels in the area offered significantly better infrastructure, many more amenities and a much more attentive, polished level of service for a similar price.
