We booked Potamitis Windmills & Apartments specifically for the experience of staying in the traditional stone windmill. However, upon arrival, we were assigned an annex apartment instead. According to our booking confirmation, we had reserved a stone windmill, so this was quite disappointing and confusing.
To their credit, the host tried to make up for the situation by offering us the White Windmill for our second night, as the windmills were apparently unavailable for the first night. We appreciated the gesture. The White Windmill was charming and offered breathtaking views, but it was smaller and did not provide quite the same experience as the traditional stone windmill we had originally booked.
That being said, we feel the booking process could be much clearer. If guests reserve a windmill, they naturally expect to stay in one rather than being reassigned to an apartment upon arrival. Unfortunately, the initial mix-up affected our overall experience.
On a positive note, the location is truly stunning, the sea views are incredible, access to the water via the stairs just below the property is fantastic, and the restaurant is good.
