We loved Mikasa so much we returned for a second stay when our original plans didn't work out. The staff are wonderful from Andres and Suri at reception, to Ale and Domingo in the restaurant as well as the amazing Housekeeping Team. The dock area was our favorite spot; so relaxing and such beautiful views. Having Ale or Domingo bring a passionfruit margarita to us on the dock was icing on the cake! We felt that the distance to town was convenient when we wanted more action and we really enjoyed staying in the quieter part of town. We cannot wait to return and spend more time at Mikasa!
We felt that the food was hit or miss, but definitely improved with the new menu that was implemented during our stay. The pool was delightful when clean, but I imagine tough to keep up on the leaves.

We weren’t sure about this hotel but it was our favourite hotel we stayed in while explore Yucatan. It’s such a gorgeous and natural location, so peaceful and quiet. The rooms were stunning and so private. We loved the on lagoon location and made use of the free kayaks. The town is a quick 5 minute drive so if you have a car and want to stay someone luxurious and peaceful, this is the spot

The location is amazing and the place looks amazing. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. Also a shoutout to Matteo and the guy in the kitchen on our first evening (we dont know his name), they were very friendly and helpful.
The rooms could be much cleaner (and I know we are in nature, but we didnt like the ants and tiny spiders on our bed). However, altogether we are not super enthousiastic. For the price we paid we expect a Good service. The breakfast took ages and if you didnt ask for the complimentary things (such as juice, water or eggs) they didn’t give it, even though it was included in the price. The ladies did not look motivated either. At check out they dared to ask for a tip, however we believe you should earn a tip. Finally, be aware that the place is near the main road which you can hear very wel troughout the night. And also when travelling with a child: be aware that there is just 1 bed and they expect you to sleep together in that bed. We did not read that on booking. Thankfully Matteo managed to give us a small extra bed.
