This large and prestigious Kinnakeet Shores house is located directly across from the Club Hatteras pool and is a short walk to the Avon Fishing Pier. On top of that, your home away from home boasts a plethora of renovations such as all top-floor decks being redone in 2023. Improvements for 2024 include streaming services being available on all TVs, new carpet throughout, as well as the top-floor living room, kitchen, and dining area all having entirely new floors. The first level has oceanside decking to take advantage of the gorgeous views. The second-story great room with tall cathedral ceilings is a perfect location to begin and end every delightful beach day. The well-equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar and great access to the dining area, screened porch, and southern sun deck. The living area has warm furnishings and access to sun decks. After a day of windsurfing, swimming, or fishing, relax in the private hot tub on the screened porch. Additional amenities include free WiFi and cable, central air-conditioning, and an outdoor shower. Things to Know You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement. Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details about this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open from mid-May to mid-October, depending on the weather. This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The house was nice. The only thing I wish I would have known before booking was about all of the steps to get to the top level where the kitchen and living areas are located. My elderly in-laws struggled climbing all of the stairs every time we went anywhere.

We have been vacationing in the Outer Banks for decades and this is the first time I have been so disappointed. The house was not cleaned and many things were broken. When we reached out the response to the issues with various broken items required calls 2 consecutive days and the response regarding the lack of cleanliness was not even acknowledged with so much as an apology. The best part of the house was the proximity to the beach and pool.

We loved the house. The layout is great - very comfy. But it's situated between the beach access paths, so you will have a little stroll down the street. We had originally rented an oceanfront cottage, but it was deemed unsafe when it was apparently too late to get a different oceanfront location. Carolina on my Mind was our choice when offered several houses in place of our original location. We did love the house, just really were looking forward to being right on the beach. Mother Nature rules.

Good central location for kiting. House offered and had everything. Minor hot tub issues that MGMT fixed amazingly fast. Good stay, solid.

The house was great but, a pipe busted in the main bathroom on the 2nd day and the maintenance guy they sent out just told us oh well guess yal can use the other bathrooms which were much smaller and attached to rooms. No one from the reality place called to check in or reimburse us. We won't be renting from hatteras reality or vacasa again.

The kitchen is well equipped. Great, open living space on the top level with large decks and screened in hot tub. Close to food lion, coffee, restaurants, gas and kitesurfing launches on both the sound and ocean side. It also has the feel of being in a neighborhood. We had a great time and would be happy to rent this same house. Just wish that it was pet friendly.

The rental process was simple and easy. The “Hospitality App” was very beneficial. Only issue was we never received the email with the keyless code, so had to work through the after hours support team to get the code. Not a big deal.

Was only there from 4:30 pm on Sunday 9/24/17 to 1:00 on 9/25/17 island had mandatory evacuation. The realty called us on 9/28/17 @5 pm to let us know we could get back on the island. We are 6 hours and 10 min. away. We would have left on 9/29/17 and been on road all day. Would have only had one day left on the island. We will not be back there at all was a waste of our time and money. Sad part is we will be lucky to get any back. It was not out fault. Would have been nice if they would have let us come back and stayed longer. One day is not long enough for that long drive.
