Lakeside Cottage With 1 Bedroom And A Loft, Sleeps 4
Escape to our cozy lakeside cabin, perfect for families or romantic getaways. With 950 square feet of comfortable living space, our cabin comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests. The cabin's fully stocked kitchen and open dining and living areas are perfect for sharing meals together, and the fireplace creates a warm and inviting atmosphere during cool fall or winter nights. The main floor has one bedroom with a queen-size bed and full bath, while the upstairs loft is a special hideaway with two twin beds. Guests can also enjoy the screened back porch that overlooks the lake and has a private spa.
We offer a range of amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including an outdoor spa, outdoor fire pit (wood not provided), gas grill, outdoor furnishings, dishwasher, washer and dryer, stove, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, central heat and air, kitchen utensils, cookware, dishes, towels, linens, hairdryer, iron, and complimentary coffee supplies.
Our cabin is situated on Hohman Lake and is near the Shawnee National Forest. It's the perfect location for guests looking to hike and explore nature or visit nearby wineries. Renters may also swim or fish from the docks and kayaks on the lake. There are two kayaks for guest use. Please reach out to the owners prior to your stay for information on how to access the kayaks. Motorized boats are not permitted on the lake.
Please note that our cabin is an unplugged getaway, and therefore there is no cable or satellite service, internet connection, or landline phone service at the cabin. However, cell phone service for texting is good, and voice service is fair. If you need to stay connected, both Metropolis and Paducah public libraries have computer rooms available for use. Guests are welcome to bring their favorite movies for the DVD player or watch DVD’s provided at the cabin.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and it’s become one of our favorite little getaways. Being right on the lake means you can fish whenever the mood strikes, and during the breaks in the rain we caught around 30 fish in just a day and a half. Even when the weather kept us inside, it was still the perfect place to unplug, watch movies, relax, and just escape real life for a while.The cabin was clean, cozy, and peaceful. One of our favorite parts is how quiet it is — very little cell service and no constant distractions. It’s the kind of place where you can actually slow down and enjoy the person you’re with. We’ll definitely be back again.

The cabin was nice in a beautiful location it needs to be dusted and the jacuzzi needs to be cleaned the water was murky
