Ski in ski out, very convenient and easy to get to the lift. Got more than 1 ft of snow while we stayed there. Not having to worry about driving condition and traffic is a big plus.

Studio 620A is exactly what a small family needs if they are just focused on skiing a few days. The beds are comfy and everything is well stocked. The bathroom is pretty funky though and overall cleanliness isn’t amazing (stuff behind furniture and under bed). It’s good enough but definitely not amazing.

The sheets and towels were clean and we had the basics we needed. We booked this place for the location and it was ideal. Lovely for a two-day trip to Tahoe. If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere. The building is under construction and above a bar. We loved it. Had beers after we got off the slopes and went to bed. Check-in was easy and we had no trouble parking. If you are going to Kirkwood to ski and sleep in a no-frills clean bed right next to the mountain. This is your spot.

If you are an experienced skier, snowboarder, can’t beat this location. Note: building is under construction so dust and holes around the building (though the room itself is fine) and room is fairly basic, but it’s really about the location: Pack everything in and out.

We've come to Kirkwood for years but never stayed at Whiskey Towers before. It didn't disappoint! Wonderful view of the slopes, great service (maintenance answers their phone every time, or returns calls immediately), excellent advice on how to get back home during the storm. We'll be returning.

It is located in an under construction tower. No foot mats in the room. AC was not working. Beds were fragile. No hot water for bath. Feels insecure as there is no safety. Absolutely unwanted overhead costs related to property.

We loved the location right next to the lifts. It was clean for the most part except for the previous occupants’ candy and wrappers under the bed. The room is simple but attractive with very comfy feather bed covers. The bar and only restaurant open at this time are right downstairs in the building which is convenient and you can’t hear the noise when in the room. The view is gorgeous and the photos on the wall of elephants grazing in Kirkwood is intriguing. I guess they were up here for some reason during the filming of the movie “Operation Dumbo Drop” in 1995.

The view of the mountain was wonderful along with the easy ski to the lift. Also the access to the grill was great. The problem was it was difficult to get the door to unlock. In addition it was not possible to get hot water to the shower. Also there were no plates or eating utensils or dish soap.
