EASY to find prime location super clean. We stayed on top floor. If it is hard for you to walk it is a 3 floor walk up and may not be for you. We did not mind the stairs and parking was easy to pay for on street.

The apartment was really lovely and because it's on the top floor actually has a nice view from the balcony. The kitchen is small but has all you need. There were three different ways to make coffee, though not the typical American drip coffee maker. Also the apartment is apparently in the old town part of Reykjavik, which has pedestrian friendly streets and lots of good restaurants and shops. The apartment is on the top floor, and has the slopes in the ceiling to prove it. We ran into them a few times. It makes the usable space of the rooms a little less, but I thought it was perfect for two people. Another thing to be aware of is that there are no black out curtains. There are shades in the bedroom which make it less bright, but if you feel that you need total darkness to sleep invest in a decent sleep mask. None of the places we stayed had curtains that made the rooms really dark. The parking situation isn't a huge concern. They only charge during the day, from 9 to 6 if I remember correctly, and that's when you're more likely to be out exploring. Overall this was a clean and thoughtfully set up apartment in a great location, and I would definitely stay here again.

The Nest apartments are perfect for anyone looking to stay in and explore downtown Reykjavík. They have everything you need, are clean, comfortable and perfectly located. We would definitely stay again if we find ourselves there on another journey!

There really could not have been a better spot! My son and I were in Reykjavik for 2 days-what a great location, lovely accommodations and host. Tons of character, close to cafe, bakery, shops, restaurants.

This was a wonderful apartment in a great location in Reykjavik. Owner was very responsive to questions we had. We could even see the northern lights from our balcony overlooking the water. Would definitely stay again!

We loved our little nest in the centre of Reykjavík. It was well equipped, spacious and immaculately clean. Only slight quibble is that the sofa and armchair were not very comfortable. However, would definitely recommend/stay again.

Loved staying here! the place is adorable, great location, walk-able to everything. Easy to check in, there are a lot of stairs so if you have huge luggage be prepared to get it up the stairs. Super cute balcony overlooking the water and great recommendations on places to eat and things to do. we went to the local pool and loved the super authentic experience, and ate at the corner bar - great burgers! i would highly recommend staying here.

All was as described. Note that there are 4 apartments in the building, one on each floor, so if going up stairs with your luggage might be a problem to you, before you book be sure you know where yours is. (Ours on the top floor is 35 steps up from the entrance.) The apartment is about a block away from airport and day-tour bus stop #8 at the large church. A few blocks away is a major shopping street with a Bonus supermarket (limited hours, cheap prices) and numerous restaurants, clothing shops and souvenir stores.

We had a terrific stay in the N apartment. Bjorn's gracious and clear instructions made it super easy to settle in. Beautifully clean. Great view. Quiet amd comfortable. Perfect home base for a great visit!

The Nest is well appointed, providing all the conveniences of home. Great views of neighborhood and harbor. Easy access to numerous restaurants, points of interest, local attractions and on street parking. Keep your bags lite....there are a few stairs to climb. Highly recommended. Will plan to visit again.

Great place, really close to everything

My husband and I stayed in apartment "N" of the Nest apartments which was perfect for our needs. Although we had to haul our heavy suitcase (we were at the end of a 3 week trip) up to to top floor, we only had to do it once and the apartment was wonderful: clean, quiet, centrally located, cute and with a binder of local information and tea for my mornings and evenings along with bookshelves to peruse. The king bed was comfortable and the shower welcome after our car trips and hikes. We loved the ease of walking to downtown Reyjkavik for a few groceries and the myriad of restaurants. Also, though there is inexpensive pay parking 9-6 on the street in front of the apartment, there is also free parking just around the corner and we had no difficulty finding a spot there. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

The pictures accurately reflect this apartment. It was clean, new, and just beautiful. Located in a quiet area not far from the restaurants and shops. The VitaBar about half a block away was a great place for dinner as long as you don't want anything fancy. If (or rather when) we return I'd stay here again and stop at the grocery store and cook instead of eating out for dinner.

This apartment is a perfect choice for easy access to the Reykjavik city center. There is a short walk to the front door from the airport bus stop #8 and is a very short walk to the city center. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe and is right next to the famous modern church. The view of the harbor from the living room is quite outstanding. Be prepared to carry your suitcase to top floor as it is a five staircase climb up to your front door, no elevator. The rooms are very tidy and spotlessly clean, well styled and very well kept, the bathroom comes with a shower stall, no bath. Very good towels, excellent bed sheets and comfortable beds. A very nice plus is the Nespresso machine and capsules. Outstanding bakery just down the street. Great shopping street a short walk away. For a nice restaurant and bar choice the one we liked is Forettabarinn which is a 15 minute walk located down at the harbor. Also a small restaurant called Dill is an excellent choice for a locally sourced farm/sea to table creative dining experience, 7 courses. If you are looking for a less expensive purchase of the Icelandic sweaters try one of the two Red Cross Thrift shops downtown, there are good selections for much less cost and for a good cause. One of the better full price gifts would be an Iceland Soccer Jersey from the World Cup available at a lot of gift shops. In a final note, I highly recommend this apartment because of the excellent response by the owner to questions before your visit, and for the location in proximity to the city. This is a very good city to walk around in, no car is ever needed, and for the adventurous there are the daily boat trips, also called the Icelandic Roller Coaster, for whale watching. All in all a very fun place to visit, and a very nice place to rent for your stay.

Great location; central to the town. Pristine condition, fully functional. We arrived late at night and were extremely thankful for the pasta and sauce that happened to be stocked in the kitchen! No washcloths -- typical of the region, I assume. Parking must be paid for during certain times of day, but convenient kiosk allows for easy payment process. Easy to access the apartment and easy to deal with the owner; responsive and helpful.

Both apartments n and s were perfect for our stay. Apartment n of course had a great view of the harbor and the sea...overall a great experience for us in a beautiful country..we shall do it again..thank you Bjorn for all your help..Stacy and tony
