I booked this place to be close to my extended family over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. It was convenient for our plans and met our needs. We enjoyed the property and our host was communicative and helpful. I'd recommend staying here. It's also a very nice neighborhood.

We were in town for our son's wedding and needed a place to relax and reenergize during the weekend festivities. We found the property exactly as advertised and living up to it's five star rating. Plenty of space for the five of us to stretch out including a basement rec room with games and TV next door to a small library. the home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, close to virtually anything. Communication with Michelle was excellent. Highly recommended should you find yourself in the area or as a jump off to other areas in Marin or San Francisco.

The property was exactly as pictured. Super cute and quaint, and light and airy vibe. Just a note that there wasn’t parking in the garage and the driveway was too narrow to fit our car, which just left street parking, but there was plenty.

If you are looking for a lovely home with great light, a beautiful garden and is walking distance to anything you may need look no further. Located on a quiet, family friendly street this house is at the heart of Marin county. Driving distance to the beaches of west Marin, the bay front on Sausalito and the forests of mill valley. Wish we could have stayed longer!!!

We were so lucky to find this lovely home. We were in town for our daughter's wedding. This house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for any occasion. The setting was in a quiet residential neighborhood. Within walking distance to everything, including a cute American Legion log cabin bar/restaurant, Safeway and many more. The house had a stunning late 1800's piano that was tuned perfectly. The master bedroom was large and had a cute patio perfect for morning coffee, plus it had a wonderful view of the mountains. Michelle was so gracious and flexible. I highly recommend this house if in the area. I have another daughter that lives in the area - we plan to make this house our home away from home!

Our group was in town for a memorial, so I knew we needed a place that was beautiful and serene to rest our heads. Michelle was kind and easy to communicate with. Her home is just beautiful with lush gardens out back, and hummingbirds and nature aplenty. The house was more than spacious for 4 people and was a nice place to relax, especially in the cool basement. Unfortunately it was very hot while we were there (mid 90’s) and no AC made the upper rooms and east facing rooms pretty hot. Thankfully things cooled off at night, but it was a bit difficult to cool off. Per other reviews we brought fans which helped a bit, and there was a fan provided in the main bedroom closet. Due to the luscious garden there were some bugs that found their way in the house, but nothing we couldn’t handle. That’s what comes from the amount of nature outside. Certainly not an issue for us. The neighborhood is quaint with a park about a block away, and shopping and a fun American legion bar right around the corner as well.
10/10 we would stay here again, and hopefully under better circumstances next time. Michelle was a fabulous host, and her home is truly a historical beauty.

Overall excellent experience - great location (2 min to a park/trails, 10 min to Fairfax/15 min to lake Lagunitas, short drive to multiple places), walk to a few restaurants/ storaes, super cozy and nice cottage, sparkling clean. Perfect communication with the host, very easy check in, comfortable beds.
For me, the old(er) carpets were a big minus as they always generate some dust/allergies. No AC made 2 top bedrooms night-use only (I visited during a very rare heat wave ) - they did cool off for the night . Gameroom/library was cool even at the heat of the day.
Backyard and a small deck are great with roses and all the plants and we used the both.
The bottom line - a very pleasant place to stay in an excellent location, probably 5+ stars for the majority of people. 4 stars for me due to carpets (note: all was sparkling clean, I am just super sensitive to dust).

My out of town family was visiting the Bay Area for about a week. They had a great time staying at this home. The house comfortably hosted all 6 of them, my parents, my brother and his wife, and their two kids. Each of them got their own room, and the two kids got their own bed. For those out of town though, it can get hot in the summer, and most places in the Bay Area don't have A/C. Luckily, the host provided us fans. My only concern was that the windows don't have screens, so we let the occasional bug in when airing out the house at night. Other than that, it was an amazing place with a lovely kitchen, garden, and family area. The downstairs area was a bonus!

I was lucky enough to book this location for one month. I came to the area to have some surgery, and Michelle‘s home was a tiny bit of heaven. It lives up to all of the pictures on the posting. It couldn’t be in a more convenient location. A 10 minute walk to the grocery store and numerous eating locations. I loved all the flowers and the garden. Michelle was very attentive, and replied to any questions within an hour. It was with great sadness that I checked out today. Looking forward to a chance to come back again.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! First off, booking and communication with the owner was easy. Second, the house was well kept, clean, and had everything we needed for our short weekend away, plus more! We are a group of friends that come for a wedding in Fairfax so the location was perfect! (10 minutes away) We are all obsessed with animals and each morning we woke up and watched the dogs, squirrels, and birds out in the neighborhood while enjoying some coffee that is a short walk down through the park. And the owner was the sweetest! Made sure checkin and checkout was easy, and she was available if we needed anything! If I had to say one thing we didn’t enjoy (no fault to the owner or the home) the spiders aren’t our favorites haha but when you have a gorgeous garden like that, it comes with the territory.

This beautiful. home is centrally located in a friendly neighborhood, close to parks and shopping. This special home is warm and inviting, with plenty of space for guests. The outdoor spaces are truly special, perfect for relaxing. The home is well-appointed in every respect.

Michelle is a very responsive and kind host! We love this home from our previous stay and returned to it this year feeling even more at home. We love that there is a piano, and we brought our own instruments (bongos, a guitar, ukulele) to play too. We love the rest of the house: the kitchen, the cozy bedrooms, the fun game room, the book-nook, and the lovely garden. The location is great, close to town, but comfortably tucked in a quaint neighborhood. We will likely be back for more family retreats.

We were even more lucky that this place was so perfect. It was clean and easy to check in and out. We had the most wonderful stay at the Tudor rose. The location is unbelievable. A gorgeous, quiet neighborhood filled with trees, families, and dogs. Everyone is so friendly. The garden is stunning, we used it for our first looks on our wedding day. The home has THE PERFECT man cave downstairs with a foosball table so my husband could get ready with his friends, while mine took over the next two floors. The bedrooms were lovely, really cozy linens. Honestly, i never wanted to leave. Our host was communicative, flexible, and really considerate. Thank you for having us and making our wedding weekend that much more magical!!

Our family of 6 had an enjoyable stay in San Anselmo. The property is well situated and cozy. We were close to restaurants, groceries and coffee, plus easy access for side trips to Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, Oakland and Alcatraz. Check in was hassle free and plenty of room to park the car.

This place is an oasis. Beautiful gardens were so peaceful and full of hummingbirds. Highly recommend if you are staying in the San Francisco area.
