Amazing experience with traditional Japanese accommodation. We had the best night sleep ever, the mattress, pillows and covers were extremely comfortable. The cleanliness was top tier, the owner and the cleaner are so meticulous, as an OCD person I loved it. Everything in the bathroom/shower was provided, there was washer and dryer available for coins. Kitchen was amazingly well equipped with nicest kitchenware, ceramic platters, cups and bowls, spring water was always there, you could prepare coffee free of charge, as absolute heaven. The owner has a translator device and helps with everything, explains how to get everywhere, provides city maps and attractions info.
The only downside was very thin door so you could hear everything from outside the room. Apart from that everything was absolutely amazing.

This traditional Japanese house is perfectly located in central Matsumoto, very close to the main street, shops, restaurants, and everything you may need.
The house was very clean and beautifully maintained, and staying in a traditional Japanese home was a wonderful experience in itself. I was travelling alone and had a very spacious room with a balcony.
The shared areas were also clean and well looked after. There is a huge shared kitchen, which I did not personally use, but I saw other guests cooking there and it seemed to have everything you could possibly need.
The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. He does not speak English, but he has a translation device that makes communication very easy in many languages.
I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again if I return to Matsumoto.

Good location and authentic cosy shared style Tatami house with well equipped kitchen and nice sitting area. Good access to free carpark nearby.
The shared room for 4 was pretty tight.
