The location was fabulous. Excellent directions to find it too.
Right in the heart of the countryside, but close to Montrose and other areas of interest.
Beautuful sunset, moon and starry night. No light pollution. Spotted all sorts of birds including Skylarks.
Good use of internal space. Fabulous shower and water pressure.
Welcome package of prosecco and chocolates. Especially appreciated as I celebrated a birthday there.
Would love to go again.
Nothing.
However, we would have welcomed a little more information.
Such as:-
The access being via a rough track.
The induction hob had no instructions, so it was hit and miss for us.
Likewise the TVs, but as we do not have a TV at home anyway we didn't follow up on it.

Thus property was amazing can’t find the people that own enough for the hospitality and definitely will be back and the place itself has just this world amazing if you get the chance give the shepherd a try was such an experience
The property had everything you needed. It was just amazing and the people that wonder were just amazing as well and a big thank you to them.

The property has a beautiful outlook & is in a very peaceful area.
The hot tub is an added bonus & the space inside has been well utilised.
The shower was good & the water pressure was great.
The hob was asset.
Thank god there was washing up liquid & a few cleaning products.
The property doesn’t look anything like the picture above.
We stayed in June 2026 for a week & there was no decking, just a few concrete steps up the door, with no hand rails.
The hot tub was also not where it is shown in this picture. It was under the bedroom window, & as we had the window open at night, you were woken every time the hot tub started up running.
There was a small cream metal table & two chairs, which were very rusty & unusable, not like this picture.
There was no mattresses protector on the bed& the pillows need replacing as they are so thin.
The microwave has food stuck to the top of it, so was unusable until we had to scrub it clean.
The bottom of the fridge door, was missing the part to put milk containers in as the coupes were broken, so we had to use the drawers to stand this in
The crockery had smear marks, so all had to be washed before we could use it.
There were no instructions how to use the oven, so we wasted food we had brought to cook there, as we couldn’t use the oven at all as it wouldn’t switch on at all, despite googling the model & checking the power source etc.
The grill tray was also covered in grease, & was so bad, we left it as it was, as it was clear no one had checked this & I felt like had cleaned almost everything else as it was.
The utensils were very worn, dust covered one, & another had what looked like cakes on food & a melted edge.
One of the knives in the life block was filthy when pulled out, looking like someone had used it & just put it back….so this was another thing to wash.
