Hike across the wooden bridge while exploring over two acres of trails and the creek. What an incredible little cottage! We arrived late in the evening to a beautifully lit and very welcoming space that beckoned us to simply relax and enjoy all of the surrounding comforts within. In the morning, we ventured outside and took in the beautiful outdoors, just steps from the cottage and the surrounding areas. We had a wonderful experience and our hosts could not have made our stay any more pleasant! Thank you for sharing this very special property! A joy to be in this space and place amongst the majesty of the mountains.

Every detail was taken into consideration by the intentionally invitational host of Falls Creek. From the arrival note, snacks, refrigerator drinks to the tasteful decor and outdoor beauty from the deck overlooking the creek and waterfall, this vacay is a must for those who wish a peaceful, beautiful and relaxed atmosphere. My parents live over six hours away from me, so when we are able to get together for a mini vacation, it’s always a blessing. Staying at this property made it even more special! It was our first time to this part of the North Carolina mountains, and there were lots of things we wanted to do and see. The house was the perfect base camp for those adventures. We cut out a few things from our itinerary because the property was so amazing, we wanted to spend so much time there enjoying the beautiful backyard and outdoor space. We grilled out, made multiple fires in the fire pit, walked the trail to town, and watched a Florida State football victory in the outdoor sitting room! One of the best parts, my four-legged best friend was able to join. Patch was amazing to communicate with and has established a top notch home-away-from-home for travelers. Five stars!

Only had a couple of days away, but this was the ideal cottage. Nestled in the woods, but close to town, and everything was just picturesque! The owners were also so accommodating and helpful! Cannot wait to come back again for a longer stay!

Owners thought of everything! We didn’t have to buy paper towels, dish soap, TP, etc. They even had snacks and a few drinks for us. Hope to return every year!

This is an amazing property. The backyard is like your own private resort. You have a creek, fire pit, and just nothing but forest. The cabin is very nice. It would accommodate two couples or a family very easily. The hosts have everything covered. They have stocked the kitchen with enough stuff to get you started. They live right down the street so if you need to get in touch with them it’s very easy. They were very helpful when I contacted them. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Cashiers/Highlands area.

We were in town driving some beautiful mountain roads with a Porsche group. Chose this place to stay as it was in the local area where everyone else was staying. We were blown away! If you like peaceful beautiful settings, this is the place for you! No matter the weather, this is a wonderful spot. Couldn’t have been better! The owners have done a beautiful job on this property. Take the time to say hello, they’re fantastic!! We will definitely be back.

This cottage/small home was perfectly suited for all our needs. It was clean, decorated nicely, and well stocked. The location is top-notch! Beautiful area-close to anything you’d like to do. The creek/waterfall is so enjoyable. The backyard is private and perfectly landscaped and the deck is very large and accommodating. You can hear the creek from every area. Private access upstairs and downstairs to the outside. Our adult children loved having their own space too. These guys have a gem. Hoping to return in the Spring.

The house is very cozy and the property is just as amazing as the pictures. The waterfall and creek running down the backside of the house are beautiful. Huge outdoor deck to enjoy grilling and the view of the creek. Fire pit was enjoyable in the evenings. Owners were very helpful and accommodating! Highly recommend this property.

This is such a lovely cabin in a quiet neighborhood but very close to restaurants and shops. The outdoor space is amazing with a nice waterfalls. The hosts are very thoughtful and the cabin has everything you need. The snack and drinks were very appreciated as was the biscuit left for our fur baby. We look forward to returning in warmer weather so we can spend more time in the outdoor spaces.

We love NC, and decided to try the Cashiers area... It did not disappoint! This amazing house is tucked away in the woods, but minutes from everything you would need! The lulling sound of the waterfall creek to cozy home... After a day of hiking waterfalls this was the perfect place to come back to! Patch really makes you feel like family and we were so happy to finally connect for a bit by the bonfire our last night there! We look forward to coming back to Falls Creek in the very near future!!

When we did decide to explore Cashier the central location of the cabin was perfect, my only regret is we didn’t walk to Buck’s coffee more often. Patch, the host of the cabin, was amazing. Walking into the cabin with a treat basket excited the children, complimentary wine in the fridge excited my wife 😊 and finding a stack of dry firewood to do smores with the family was enjoyable. Patch was great making sure that our cabin was satisfactory and was quick to answer any questions we had. We hope to return to the cabin for our next trip to Cashiers.

The pictures don't lie, perfect place
Our stay at Falls Creek was perfect. The cabin was thoughtfully decorated, very clean (super important to me!), and equipped with all the essentials a guest could need (even with extras like providing duraflame logs for the outdoor fire pit). And the outside is exactly as the pictures show it - this is what you come to this cabin for, and it delivers. Our children spent hours in their rain boots wading in the creek and walking the trails while my husband and I sat on the deck. Patch was an exceptional host and very responsive. We ran into him while walking the neighborhood one afternoon (attending his bees, my daughter was fascinated) and were surprised later that evening when we came home from the day out to find a jar of honey waiting for us on our doorstep.
Every aspect of our stay was wonderful and we will definitely be returning to this same place again.

TLDR: Cottage is clean, well stocked and perfectly located. Beds were comfortable. Hosts are helpful without being intrusive.
We had a great stay. The cottage is welcoming. The landscaping is fabulous. Walkable to town. The hosts supplied a starter kit and snack basket that didn't miss a thing. Very considerate! Enjoyed the fire pit, extensive deck and the creek that meanders through the property. Great place to unplug and de stress. (Unplugging was our choice it has TV and Wi-Fi)

The colors are so soothing I liked the textured ceilings in the master BR kitchen and dining. The hutch in the dining room was a wonderful focal point. The downstairs twin BR bed frames were perfect for that setting. The large framed mirror over the downstairs sofa was an exceptional piece of art.
The 3 boards on the twin ceiling really gave substance to the room. Very creative touch.
