Easy to access from motorway. Close to our required destination, friendly staff. Everything we needed for an overnight stay.
Bad reception on television and WIFI didn’t work

Good room housekeeping and cleanliness despite the room itself having maintenance issues. The bed was comfortable and the tv worked. Staff cheerful and friendly and good to have staff on the front doors on a match day.
The room had cracks in the wall, the shower head needs replacing, the toilet seat didn’t fit and the plinth under the shower was dislodged. The room Wi-Fi didn’t work and I suspect that is a regular situation as they make a comment on the information in the room .More concerning was the check in at a busy bar, my room number was announced and repeated as I couldn’t hear it in a noisy bar,and travelling as a solo female , and after the issues at the Travelodge’s, I thought this was unacceptable. Room details should be written down and handed over. They ask for photo ID but nowhere did it state that they take a copy of it I queried this and was told it was for security and it would be shredded the next day. No details on their website or on Booking.com regarding copying. It did not appear to me that my data was held securely but put on a clipboard in the adjacent unlocked room along with the copy of the passports of the couple checking in at the same time.
