I will admit I was a little concerned about the location of the Galeon - having stayed at the Platjador before. That said, the hotel is quite a bit closer to the train station which was nice for us when we arrived. The staff was great and very helpful. The pool is a little on the chilly side, but I found that refreshing on a hot/humid day. The bed was HUGE, and the AC was amazing. I also appreciated the option to have a breakfast-to-go available for us since we had to leave before breakfast was available in the restaurant.
This is a minor thing, but the design of the building required us to go partway down a stairwell and back up the other side (where our room was) from the Elevator. I'm sure this just has to do with the age of the building, though people with disabilities (and large/heavy bags) may find this presents a difficulty.

The breakfast was available from 8am-1pm. All the staff were very friendly

Brilliant location, very close to the centre yet very quiet and tranquil.
Nice bedroom and bathroom with window overlooking the pool.
Lovely touch having afternoon tea and pastries.
Exceptionally polite staff. Great breakfast
Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room but not a huge issue

Location, breakfast, pool and the staff were great. Rooms cleaned daily and overall I would stay again.
You get what you pay for. The bathroom and general decor are very dated. Even limited updating could really lift the hotel. But undoubtedly that would also lift the price tag too.
