This was my favourite hotel in my 7 weeks in Europe. It was quiet, yet right in the heart of the old town area. The swimming pool and bar area were clean and welcoming and the staff were so friendly. It is right around the corner from many authentic Cretan restaurants and just a short walk from the harbour. The air conditioning worked well, which was essential in the heat wave. Great size room and bathroom and a tiny French balcony overlooking the pool. We liked it so much we extended our stay by another night!
The bed was a little hard for me, although my daughter found it very comfy. It would also have been nice if the pool was open even an hour longer- it was really nice having a dip after a long day sightseeing.

Excellent location , next to old town and the fort plus sea views just up the street opposite.
Sun beds got reserved at about 7am , so had to get up early to get a good space.

The location is good, however you are on a road with 2 clubs which go on until about 6am. Ask for a pool view room, less noise from club goers on that side from previous experience.
Pool is lovely, it’s the reason I came back. It’s not massive but it warms up quickly, especially late June onwards.
If you get woken up easily, don’t get a road side room for the reason I already gave.
