The rooms are very modern, fresh and clean. There is a very modern bathroom with a luxurious shower! The beds are incredibly comfortable and the room is always cleaned.
The staff show incredible hospitality. We felt as if we were visiting a very kind-hearted family. Everyone is smiling and no request we had was denied. A big thank you to the staff of Etna Hills for your incredible service!
The location is great. Etna Hills is located by Via Etnae, the main artery of the city of Catania. When staying here you are just a stone throw away from the metro station Borgo, which will take you anywhere in the city, including the train station, from which you can take a bus to the airport, and arrive in just 20 minutes.
Near Etna Hills you will find a lot of great restaurants and bars, including Tre Bocche, a seafood specializing restaurant which we strongly recommend every visitor to try!

The receptionist was super nice and friendly — definitely a big plus. Overall, it’s an okay option for Catania, 20 min walk to center, but I don’t think it fully justifies the price.
The room needs some maintenance: the air conditioner should be cleaned, the bathroom silicone is moldy and there’s visible limescale. There was also a damp, musty smell in the room, covered by a strong perfume — which only made it worse.
Breakfast was the weakest point: very few options, and the ladies in charge serve the food themselves — you can’t help yourself — while watching what you do, which feels quite embarrassing.
Overall, it’s a decent place for a short stay.
Smell, and breakfast need improvement. At the current price, it’s not really worth it.

There were strange bags stored on the upper shelves.
• Bags and mattresses were piled up there.
• It was very stuffy.
• The air conditioner wasn’t working.
• There was a lot of dust.
• The room was stuffy and humid.
The breakfasts could hardly be called breakfasts — just two muffins if you asked for them, and the coffee was not good.
