This place worked great for our annual Winterfest gang. The weather did not cooperate however our plan is to return in 2025. Great place for 12 men, big meals, football and socializing. With snow and ice it will be an outstanding location for snowmobiling, ice fishing plus we had some skiers in the group, about 30 minutes from ski hills.
Host was outstanding, responded quickly when we were trying to find house for initial check-in. No issues but its rural and took a second to figure out the specific home via google maps. Could use a couple upgrades with kitchen utensils, not a big issue just nice to have (forks-spoons).

This place would be amazing in the summer but we stayed for a few nights for NYE and was perfect for us. Plenty of space and we enjoyed the family time. The house was full stocked and we didn’t want for anything. Would stay here again.

We stayed at the house for a family funeral in the area. It was well appointed with plenty of space to spread out. Everything was in good condition and had plenty of amenities to make our stay painless. We're hoping to stay again in the future when we get the family together.

The lake is beautiful and the lakeside patio and dock were a wonderful place to hangout. The cleaners forgot to clean that area but Jennifer was very quick to respond and get someone out to take care of it. The house is very large and accommodated our group of 14 easily. Jennifer was always quick and responsive anytime we reached out to her.

Overall, just a beautiful property. Impressed with cleanliness of home. Loved the proximity to Mackinaw. Of course hot tub was a big hit for all ages!
Mullet Lake looked super clear compared to some others we’ve stayed at up north. Loved the shallows for the kids too!
Thanks Jennifer, you’re a great host.

The house was giant and ideal for our large group. We had four families and some babysitters - a total of 8 adults, 2 teens, and 7 kids under 8. Plenty of space to spread out, sleep comfortably, and have different areas to play.
The lake is down the hill and across the road, which was a bit precarious for kids to cross, so we always had to have an adult with them. The dock was GREAT for hanging out and swimming...the sand/lake bottom at the end of the dock was great...and was about 3 feet deep which was awesome for hanging out and socializing.
One thing that wasn't great was that the first floor was a bit "damp" and felt musty. There was a working dehumidifier that we used and kept emptying in order to keep it under control. The bathroom on the first floor also had some fume issues, and was not as nice as the two on the top floor. I am sharing this bc I know I would like to know this when considering to rent this space. That said, those elements were easily overlooked for the amount of space the house had for our giant group and the gorgeous lake views!

Jennifer is an excellent host and you won't be disappointed with this property. This is the second time we've rented it and will likely be back again sometime.

Our family hadn't been able to celebrate Thanksgiving in northern michigan for years. This house was perfect. The location was great. We had a beautiful view of Mullett Lake. There was a nice trail to walk on. We had 17 people. The house was large so there so plenty of room to spread out. The house was very clean, well maintained and so beautiful. The owner was very accommodating and responded to our questions before and during our stay very quickly. We plan to come back next Thanksgiving. We had a great trip.

Jennifer the property owner was fantastic, she communicated very well with me ahead of the stay and answered any of my questions via text very quickly!
The house has an excellent layout for kids, they ran around and loved playing in the bunk room. Kitchen had a great assortment of dishes to use, hot tub was wonderful after a day on the lake. The lake was a short 2 minute walk and very easy to take coolers and bags with a wagon!
Overall I would definitely recommend the house and will be planning a return visit in the future!

We enjoyed our stay here - the listing was accurate, the hosts were friendly and responsive and the location was perfect! We had 2 elderly who loved the porch and large living room and dining room for family gatherings and meals. We had 3 families with teens and young adults and the lower floor was great for them and had a great outdoor area with firepit. We LOVED Mullett Lake and the use of the dock for loading/unloading and sunbathing was wonderful. The cabana area (with Fridge!) and firepit by the water were heavily used by us! It is a short walk down hill and across a road (not too busy) so we got lots of steps in but no issue for anyone in our group (Elderly grandparents watched from deck and were not interested in the water activities). All was clean and comfortable! Some in our group did day trips to Mackinaw Island, Indian River, Cheboygan and Petoskey - all not to far! We would book again if we were to go back to Mullett Lake.

We love the property. It’s perfect for a gathering of our entire family. Lots of space for separate groups at the same time!

Our family enjoyed all the space available to spread out. The lakefront is awesome with nice seating, fire pit and dock. Trampoline in the water was a hit with the kids! Mooring buoy worked perfect for the boat. Easy walk to convenience market and The Breakers was an added bonus. Definitely recommend!

we were a family of 16 all adults. youngest 17th up to 70's. We have 8 grandsons who 7 adults ages 17 to 24 came. The lower level of the home was perfect for them with the theater room, pool table, referigator and the bedrooms. We had a wonderful week and great weather.

Nice property with close proximity to a number of things. It would have been nice to know that the hot tub was out of order prior to booking or at least prior to the final payment being due, but no complaints otherwise.

Renting this property was a nice experience the only thing I didn’t like was how much they charge for the cleaning process I feel if the house wasn’t fifty and nothing was torn up customer should get some of the cleaning money back

Unsanitary and unsafe. Dead animal behind walls in kitchen caused repulsive fumes. Sewage back up in basement bathroom caused lingering smell of feces. Hot tub promoted in listing had no top, low water, was teeming with green bacteria, had clearly not been cleaned in a long time, was a cesspool and an eyesore. Many unfastened bricks on front porch fell off regularly causing tripping. Refrigerator glowed with digital message “water filter has not been replaced in three years”. No outdoor lights at water area made lovely patio space dangerous at night risking injury. Nice property that was surface-cleaned before and after our stay by a kind company who admitted to ongoing complaints by renters all summer. Major issues not addressed by owner made stay worth much less than we paid.

Immediately upon opening the door, were hit with a smell of raw sewage, vomit and death in the kitchen. We notified owners, who acted shocked to hear this & came over to investigate, but after talking with them, they knew of smell 3 days prior. It was annoying to have them act like they had no idea. They admitted that the previous group "partied hard" and brought an entire truck full of liquor for the week. Owners did help try to find the source, but we were never able to find it. We cleaned all week to try to rid of the smell in the kitchen, as one needs a kitchen for cooking, but could not spend any other time in there. We threw out food that was permeated with the odor. By wed, we called again because it was nauseating. Kids would not walk into kitchen. They did send someone to look in attic, but guy there only 5 minutes. We then asked for some reimbursement for the inconvenience of not being able to use the kitchen. Owners said they would come to discuss, but no showed. They texted with "give us what you are thinking for compensation". Because we could barely use the kitchen (where people spent 50% of the time in a home) we thought 25% would be reasonable. This sent owner into a tailspin. He proceeded to falsely accuse us of damage to his home. He named several things like stains on carpet, broken fireplace, broken speakers (we never even saw speakers - we had brought our own) etc, so many things that were completely untrue and likely damaged by the "partiers" the week prior. He was rude & screaming on the phone, falsely accusing us of damage. He said he took pics & would not send them. Of course I have pics, too, of how it was left perfectly in order. We are not partiers. Just a couple of families there for a relaxing week. Of course, he said no reimbursement since we "did so much damage" to the home. We did not damage anything at all and actually cleaned out cupboards, cleaned dishes, fridge, oven, pots/pans etc trying to rid the kitchen of the awful smell. We left the place cleaner than we found it. We were disappointed that there was no pontoon lift for our boat as advertised and had to walk 1/2 mile to get to our boat. He accused us of smoking, but we found a water logged cigarette tray with butts at the lake house- not from us. We actually loved the house and lake - very beautiful and enjoyed the week. Fit our group comfortably. Didn't appreciate false accusations. Negotiation would have been a more appropriate response from owner.

Family vacation
This house is beautiful!! We have a large family and the house had plenty of room. We were bummed the hot tub wasn’t working for our week. Owners were very apologetic as the top was broke the week before our visit. Owners were easy to reach and helpful if we needed help. Wonderful trip and our family would definitely return!!!

Christmas in July
This was the perfect place for our family gathering! Plenty of room and a beautiful home with beautiful views! We could spread out and enjoy small groups as well as room for all of us together! We had morning coffee time, hot tub time, and lots of beach time! The “littles” loved the sand box and beach, the “middles” loved the beach, basement Wii competitions, and nearby shops. We all enjoyed the swimming, beach house cook outs and running and walking path! A trip to Mackinaw Island was a highlight! We will definitely plan boating for next year! The owners were wonderful with tasty welcome gifts and quickly responded to questions! It was a perfect week! 💕

This location exceeded our expectations. It looks as if most of the interior has been newly redone, and the cleanliness deserves five stars. We had a relatively small group stay, just five people, but I think you could easily have 12-15 people stay very comfortably. There was a nice living room area downstairs and one on the main level, plus ample seating on the deck and by the lakefront. I think this would be a perfect spot for two families to escape to during the summer. It felt as though we were staying at a resort. The hot tub is as promised as well. The host, Jennifer, was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond at every turn. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped onto the property, with many thoughtful touches throughout the home. It's clear she wants you to enjoy the area as much as she and her family do. Check-in and out was completed via a lockbox, which was very convenient for our group. If I had more space, I would say more, but trust me when I say you won't be disappointed! Highly recommend.
