We stayed at the 2-bedroom villa. The mountain view from the room was beautiful and relaxing. The facilities in the villa were decent, and the overall ambience was comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful whenever we interacted, and their attitude added warmth to the stay.
The access roads to the resort are in very poor condition, with many large potholes and steep inclines, which are challenging, especially for a manual-gear car. The resort is built on steep terrain, and the reception area itself is on a slope. Reaching the dining area at the topmost part of the property is difficult unless you take the buggy ride available on call. The location of the resort is around 18 to 20 km from the main Munnar town center, which means longer drives to the tourist spots. The breakfast experience was disappointing. Because occupancy was low at the time we stayed, they offered a limited à la carte menu instead of the buffet showcased in the booking.com gallery, and the food quality was poor. The team was regretful when I raised my kids’ disappointment and explained the off-season situation, but still, the experience fell short. Also, room service after 10 p.m. was non-existent as no one picked up calls, and travelers should be aware that the resort collected the full payment for the entire stay upfront at check-in, which may not suit everyone.
Overall, the resort has great potential thanks to its setting and staff, but would benefit from better road access, improved food & breakfast quality, and more consistent late-hour service to match the expectations set by its feature listing in booking.com.
