Located in Au Sable Charter, this lovely resort for $99 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Unit #5 is a studio type Cabin with kitchenette right on the beach! This is a one room unit that is large enough that it has a pull out futon in it so it accommodates four people. It does not have separate bedrooms. Beautiful Lake Huron views with private grill and picnic table shared firepit and sandy bottom lakeshore. Futon makes into a bed, refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave, sink, coffee maker and toaster make staying in as much fun as going out. Unit is number 5 of a six unit resort. Pets welcome but MUST be non-aggressive toward all people and other pets. This resort is located just south of Oscoda. Lakewood Shores Resort - Serradella Golf Course and Tawas Creek Golf and Country Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Huron-Manistee National Forest and Tawas Point State Park.

The owners are very friendly and our in the process of fixing up the cabins. The cabins are older, but nice. The View of the water is breath taking. You can't any closer to the water from your cabin. We had our dog Angel she loved it. We will be back

We began our trip with a hiccup, but the owners were able to quickly solve the issue. All communication with the owners was very easy and quick. The cabin was how described and was clean and stocked with most needed items including towels, tp, paper towel, towels for kitchen, and some basic kitchen items. Having a couple more cooking items (pots and pans) would be a helpful addition. It was great to have a place that was family and pet friendly. The beach access was a huge plus for this property.

My family really loved the view, the beach and the firepit. Plus, we were able to take our furbabies. Location was beautiful and easy to get to the pier and hiking trails. We booked 3 cabins so it worked out well for our family. Just one point, the cleaning person should put out fresh mats in the bathroom and do a quick mop. I know the sand is inevitable and hard to keep out but that would have been a plus. We would go back!!

The first 2 nites were wonderful, everyone adored our dogs. They played with a puppy on the beach. The girls down from us, wanted to babysit the dogs. We enjoyed a bonfire, with the neighbor next to us. The 3rd day a family came into a cabin next to us. He decided he didnt want anything to do with my dogs. By 7pm that nite he called the owner. Then the owner called me during supper. I didnt have Thor on a leash. My bad. I was basically no longer welcome. I text the owner told him i would be gone In The morning. I wanted my money back for the nite and day i wasn't there. He said ok and thank you. I never recevied my money.

I was shocked that there was no air conditioning, and knew ahead of time it was dog friendly. Both of those issues turned out ok. We did buy another fan. I do feel this needs to be in the description for those that need a respite from the heat. I also think it is wonderful for those that want to take their pets. I will probably choose a non-pet place next time which I am sure is much more expensive. I am glad there are places like this for all families if they choose, on a lower budget, and the beach and pets. In that, it was overall wonderful.

This spot is great for a long weekend getaway if you’re looking to enjoy a Michigan beach. It’s right on the water with great views and kayak access. Quiet area but still close enough for a short drive to little towns if you want to go out to eat or walk around. Hosts were very friendly!

It was well maintained but if you’re looking for privacy this would not be the place for you. We did have a couple right next to us that had a large dog who did not like children. It scared my granddaughter who is six by growling and lunging at her.

the property was as advertised. Early June is not the time to visit as not much is open including the lighthouses and museums. Still we were the on the beach, by ourselves, and it was beautiful. There was firewood and easy access to grocery in Oscoda. Limited need to contact the owner so can’t really comment on that

We had a great time and loved our little cabin. The view of the lake and sunrise was beautiful. They had everything you could possibly need and was a comfortable place to stay. The staff and owners are super kind and down to earth. It was a great pleasure doing business with them and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

This place is right on the water. Being able to go right outside on the beach is such an amazing experience. The place itself was very cute and had everything we needed. I loved it and if you are looking for somewhere cozy with a nice view of the water this place is perfect. They also had a bonfire which we really enjoyed.

My husband and I stayed here before and came back because we enjoyed it so much. We love waking up in the morning and looking out at the water while having our coffee. It doesn’t get any better than this. Tim and Nancy are great.

My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing time, the cabin was very nice, very clean and have all necessities, including coffee and cream!! The cottage is right on the water with a fire pit and grill! We'll come back in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful, relaxing time. It's the first time we were able to travel with our 2 cats and they loved sitting in the windows watching the waves. The hosts were 100% accessible and responsive, and we would definitely recommend this place and stay again ourselves.

There was a problem with our check in process that the owners went over and above to make it right. The cabin was clean and met our needs. We would really like to have new mattresses on the beds before we come back again. The best part was the deck that overlooked Lake Huron. We watched the sunrise every morning. It was beautiful!

Very cute and clean rental. The beach area is wonderful and clean as well. Our entire stay was great. We stayed in rental #5 and were very pleased with everything. Dogs are welcomed there so that was a nice bonus for us to be able to swim with our pup. We will be back for another stay in the future. The only suggestion I have is to bring a camp or beach chair just incase the chairs for everyone to share are being used.

The fact that the water is so close to the door and the window where you sleep in the sand is perfect, the water is perfect, the atmosphere could not have been better if I paid 1000 bucks a night. Truly one of the best weekends ever

My husband and I instantly fell in love with the sandy beach waterfront! Our room was clean and so cozy! The room also had everything you would need for cooking ad well as toiletries. Laying in bed and hearing the waves when it was raining was so relaxing as well! Tim asked my husband if we needed any help getting a fire started or help us with the heater. So sweet!

Stayed for a long weekend! It was very relaxing. Loved that we got to bring our dog with us. Cabins are old but clean and the owners are upgrading the bathrooms and kitchen in each unit. Loved the sandy beach area. Owners were very nice and easy to work with. We will definitely be back!
