lovely place and very friendly. good breakfast and good choices

watch parking. Very narrow access could be hard if a few cars.

We both enjoyed our stay there, very welcomely and friendly staff,

The room was a bit to small, but very clean, the shower was to small has I couldn't hardly move around in it my partner who is disabled found it very hard to move around in shower

The room could off been a bit bigger, not a lot off room in there to move or to do your ironing ect

Fab hotel

Beautifully decorated, impeccably clean hotel run by very welcoming owners. Fantastic breakfast menu with some lovely little touches, they've thought of everything! We will definitely go back.

Excellent definitely use again

On my Arrival the Oakover Guest house stood out on the street, the front of the property was immaculately kept and once inside this continued. I was greeted by the host Simon who couldn't do enough to accommodate my needs as a disabled guest. The room was spotless and everything you could wish for was there, even down to bottled water. The following morning breakfast was amazing, for a guest house I was pleasantly surprised there was everything you could imagine all freshly cooked and piping hot. The rooms had good information sheets on local places to eat and takeaways

Great place. Great people. would highly recommend. Breakfast was well organised and nice fresh food served

Drive was very narrow. But was a secure parking area at the end. Shower in our room wasn't great water pressure but was adequate

The breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable.

There was no shower, the hose you had to slip on to the bath taps spout was split and it was only hand held As usual, in this country, the bedding was too hot for the time of year.

Breakfast is good. Room is very clean and good to have q tips and facial wipes.

The entrance of car park was too narrow. Be careful if your car is big.

You won't be disappointed!

The owners were very friendly and approachable! Had a good attitude and very helpful! We were greeted by Ann who explained everything to us about our stay and was very friendly, later met her husband Simon who was also very friendly, anything we had questions on it wasn't too much for them to help!! The attitude of staff is a very big factor for me due to having anxiety and I felt so comfortable and welcome here! The breakfast was a wide selection and cooked to perfection both mornings and cooked fresh to order! When we arrived we were so happy with how clean everything was and how nice the room smelt (I've been to some terrible places) this is by far one of the best places I've stayed at and would 100% come back in the future. Thank you Simon & Ann!

Fantastic guest house. 😊

The room was beautiful and very up to date. Had what we needed.Also very quiet, didn't hear any noise at all. The breakfast was really nice and we were close enough to the beach, town etc.

Breakfast hours could do with being stretched out to about 10am.

My friend and I stayed here as we had tickets to visit the local theatre.

Just returned home from a 3 day stay at Oakover Guest House and can honestly say it was very enjoyable. The room was a very good size, spotlessly clean and had everything you could need including plenty of tea/coffee making supplies. There was also a fridge to enable you to keep your drinks cold. The breakfasts were excellent, a very large choice available. Simon was indeed a very nice, hospitable host, couldn't ask for more. I would indeed recommend this guesthouse.

Best guest house ever

Everything about this property was outstanding. Absolutely immaculate, with lots of small extras in room such as face wipes, bottled water, fan, radiator for if get cold, fridge and much more. 10/10 without a question.

Excellent choice at breakfast

Long week stay would have expected one bed linen change at least. Wasn't happy washbasin/mirror not wiped entire week..Final icing on the cake damaging my car negotiating exit from car parking limited area.

Excellent!

Decent size room was bright & spotlessly clean. Lots of thoughtful touches including a socket by the mirror plus iron & ironing board. Tea/coffee tray was well stocked. Breakfast choice was excellent. Something for everyone. Great location a few minutes walk to the seafront & 10 mins walk to centre. Simon was very welcoming & helpful.Highly recommend staying here.

Small car park is 1st come 1st served but plenty of free street parking nearby. Simon was very helpful finding a space for us
