Beautiful historic inn! The lounge area is such a relaxing space. Shane was an excellent host, making us feel welcome and sharing the history of the inn. EXCELLENT hot breakfast.

It is beautiful. All the woodwork and original fireplaces were a dream. Everyone was very friendly. And they were hosting an art show which was great.
It was a climb to our room. Understandable. With a shared bathroom on the second level it is limiting to who would be comfortable.

The staff was excellent, and met every request we had.
The musty smell; a couple of things needed attention: one of the beds (Twin City) had a brace underneath that was cock-eyed; the table in the shower has a basket underneath that was hanging loose on one side (didn’t NEED to use the basket…just ‘looks-wise’); the key to the door of our room wouldn’t work easily…we had to jiggle and work with it…a LOT. The food was pre-packaged…not home-made. That’s why I go to B & B’s…I love the home-made breakfasts that are different every day. These were what we’d have found in a chain hotel. I have operated a B & B for 12 years, so that’s another reason I choose to stay at them…I know they need my business more that a big chain does!
