Located in the cross roads of Munster, Ivy Bridge is ideal for touring the South of Ireland. Why not visit Blarney Castle where you can kiss the stone, or Killarney with its lakes and Ladies View made famous when Queen Victoria and her ladies stopped to overlook the world famous lakes. Bunratty Castle and folk park, County Clare is within easy driving distance as is Kinsale. This historic town is renowned for its restaurants and marina. Fota wild life park and House is a 45 min drive as is Cobh, with its heritage centre and Cathedral. This town was the last port of call for the ill fated Titanic. This lovely cottage was truly amazing, David and Eilis are amazing hosts and full of knowledge and recommendations to make your visit the most pleasant one.
The location is very convenient, lots of space in the house which was clean and the fire every night was perfect to end the day.

Very comfortable yet old feeling home, traditional cottage yet modern. Comfortable beds and plenty of living spaces, beautiful property!! Piano was a plus, and horses although with our outings and rain we didn’t make it to see them. Not a walkable property but a 10 min drive into town. Very easy to get around throughout Cork from here. David is very friendly and helpful!! Very much enjoyed chatting with him!
Note: GPS took us crazy way to get there… if you use equestrian center it’s easier to navigate to using Apple maps.

We had a great time. The location is very convenient and the family room was a perfect place to gather after a long day. Puppies was a bonus for us dog lovers. David was very helpful and made wonderful suggestions as to where to visit.

Had my heart set on staying at this cottage when I decided on it in the US about a year ago and saw it on Vrbo. Kitchen worked out well with microwave dishwasher, full-size fridge and gas oven, we made dinners four nights that week we stayed. Location was convenient to Cork, COMBS and Mallow had excellent grocery stores for supplies since we stayed an entire week. We had lots of breathing space at this former equine training center and that is hard to find in Ireland. David was great host and got a fire started in the woodstove for one romantic evening for us, it was fascinating to us, that he used peat for the firewood. Thank you.

My family and I will treasure our stay in David & Eilis’s wonderful cottage. It is furnished and decorated beautifully to allow you to feel instantly at home. David’s greeting, local guidance & care throughout our stay was truly top notch!
We so enjoyed the tranquil and idyllic surroundings. There was such a sense of calm when we returned after a busy day of sightseeing. Loved seeing the horses & the Puppies visits too!Thank you for allowing us to experience your beautiful space. We look forward to returning.

This house is a delightful surprise. Loved the ambiance and the personality of every room. David is a kick to talk with and the quiet setting was wonderful, but it was close to many sights and activities- so convenient and peaceful.

We LOVED staying at Ivy Bridge Cottage. Eilis and David are fabulous hosts. We loved David’s stories and cannot thank him enough for setting up the fire for us. We highly recommend this property. We were sad that our 4 night stay was over so soon.

Beautiful spot conveniently located for touring Cork, Cobh, and Blarney Castle/gardens. David was a wonderful host, always making sure the fireplace was set up for a warm fire when we returned from our day of exploring.

A lovely thatched cottage close to Cork city but far enough away to be peaceful and feel well in the countryside. We had a very comfortable stay with every need catered for. Would have no hesitation in recommending as a base to see the sights of beautiful county Cork.

This Irish Cottage fulfilled all our Irish dreams! Eilis and David were magnificent hosts who wanted our stay to be the best we ever experienced, and they did not fail. Wonderful Irish Cottage
If your travels take you to Ireland, this thatched roof cottage is sure to please! Situated on a farm and surrounded by other farms, the home is very relaxing and quiet. And beautiful!

Superb In Every Way!
This was one of the most memorable places that we have ever stayed, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Not only is this adorable cottage convenient to everything, but the hosts were so kind and hospitable, and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the time that we spent with them-- as well as the furry friends. A perfect place to stay if you like history, and want to experience the best that Ireland has to offer. Comfortable, and well-appointed, with everything that you would want to have during your stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. David was a wonderful host and was available whenever we had a questions. He made many suggestions as to places to visit. The cottage is really more of a manor with attention to detail both architecturally and decor. Many fine touches and old fireplaces in different rooms. Amazing!

Feeling at home in the countryside
A lovely place in the countryside… We enjoyed our stay very much. The kids loved all the animals, fed the horses and the dogs and we all felt very much at home. David was very kind and helpful. The house is beautifully furnished and the fireplace makes it very comfortable. Would love to come back.

Beautiful home with thatch roof
We stayed here recently for 4-5 days. The house itself is very large and rustic. All the rooms are decorated in an old-fashioned farm style. The beds are very comfortable and it is a very homey place. I think the surrounding farm is also very beautiful. David was very informative and a pleasant host. We really enjoyed our stay and will have very fond memories of this place. Also, great proximity to Cork, Cobh, and Blarney Castle.
