by far the best hotel in the immediate area with an excellent staff , wonderfully LARGE compound with multiple bars , sparkling clean swimming pool , excellent food ! My room was immaculate , modern and comfortable . FYI - Bamburi Beach is approx. 20 minutes away via Uber , Matatu , TukTuj , bodaboda -- We were not in Mtwapa for the beach but simply to chill & relax .
flies are a problem dining throughout Africa and for us mzunga a real disgusting turn off - highly suggest screening the dining room ( and kitchen ) adding fans and entrance / exit vestibules to alleviate . Where most tourists are from flies in a dining area are simply NOT acceptable. The Dining Room could also definitely use some nice ambience to make it a more enjoyable area to eat - - nice music , decor , art , etc. etc.. Would love to have REAL fresh French press coffee available at breakfast , not the terrible freeze dried "Nescafe" instant coffee from overseas ! Kenya produces some of the World's Best Coffee - Serve it ! and NOT out of Expresso Machine ! ( unless one wants expresso / cappuccino otherwise too bitter ! ) .

Très agréable surprise. Personnel adorable.. petit appartement confortable.. lits spacieux.. grand espace.. piscine superbe
Cela concerne plutôt le restaurant.. manque quelques options avec pains et viennoiseries pour le petit déjeuner qui est très complet.. le temps d'attente très long pour restaurant où la nourriture est bonne et très abordable mais il faut compter entre 1 h et 1h30 pour être servi après la commande, mais c'est un phénomène courant au Kenya sauf dans les restaurants touristiques et haut de gamme..
