Nice room, large bathroom. Good breakfast.
The owners seemed a bit offhand and not particularly welcoming. We assumed they had a busy season and were a bit fed up with guests.

We loved this oasis of calm and Jean Paul and his wife looked after us very well indeed. I wish we could have stayed longer, as it is a break from the hectic coast at this time of year and yet not too far of a car ride or taxi into town. We would love to go back.

We liked the views, the plants and the pool.
The owner, who lives at the property with his wife and dogs lacked hospitality, was prejudiced, patronising and cold. No warm welcome or goodbye, no interest in us and no attentiveness. He was constantly there and at times watching from his balcony. So we couldn't relax entirely. Breakfast was not buffet style as per pictures. It was served as a set menu of whatever the owner decides on the day and was simple and limited. When we requested one he made previously he refused. There was a coffee machine with 4 pods but no kettle to make tea (but a few random tea bags were thrown in), no freshly made tea or coffee offered with breakfast. No iron, no hair conditioner and the bath mat was torn. There was dirt in some corners, stains on sideboard and no extractor fan in the bathroom, hence a smell of mustiness but we weren't allowed to open the door when the AC was on. So we had to choose between letting air in or being comfortably cool. The cupboard for clothes was inside the bathroom, so clothes would smell of damp. The front gate is unlocked, the side gate could be opened by putting your hand through so it didn't feel 100% secure. The owner's large intimidating dog was left in the front garden on our departure so my daughter and I were frightened and had to phone them to take it in. Instead of checking how our stay was and wishing us safe trip home, the owner proceeded to coldly question us if we left the keys in and if we had anything outstanding to pay from the CCTV-monitored bar. We didn't feel welcomed or valued as paying customers, as though second class citizens.
