Superb location, excellent facilities and very welcoming. Close to Alton towers and 5 minutes drive from shops and restaurants.
Access road could do with some upgrading.

We spent the weekend here with our 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren to celebrate our daughter's 30th birthday. We wanted to be close to Alton Towers and also in the peaceful countryside and this house was absolutely perfect! The space in the house was ideal and we loved the tasteful decoration with the autumn touches as well as the very comfortable furniture. It was so warm and cosy. All the bedrooms were beautiful with lovely comfortable beds and pristine bedding. All the bathrooms were immaculate, as was the whole house. The kitchen was amazing and equipped with everything we needed and so much more for the whole family including the baby.
The hot tub was wonderful and spotlessly clean.
The location and surroundings were beautiful, stunning views and so peaceful.
We didn't meet the owner/host but didn't need to, the couple of queries I had before our visit were answered very quickly and we received a welcome message on arrival telling us to just ask if we had any queries or concerns but we had none. We did see someone clean the hot tub in the morning which is always reassuring. The delicious home made cake, wine, orange juice and milk that were waiting for us on arrival were so kind and very gratefully received.
On our way home I received a message to say they had found my daughter's wallet and very kindly offered to post it.
We all agreed it was a wonderful stay, we couldn't have chosen anywhere better and we would very much love to return. Our only regret is that we didn't book an extra night as we would have loved a full day to enjoy the house, hot tub and local walks after a busy previous day at Alton Towers - maybe next year!
10am check out is a little early and rushed especially with a large group and a young baby, 11am would have been nice.
