The hotel is situated outside of Verona in a charming town surrounded by vineyards and picturesque villas. It is very pleasant drive back to the hotel to unwind from visiting Verona.
Side note: The restaurant is a major draw and requires reservations, which we were unable to obtain. It was a bummer since it was packed every evening.
We chose the hotel because other reviewers commented on the bountiful breakfast. They did have a big spread of cakes and cookies. If you like a sweet breakfast, then this would be perfect for you. It is a good price (7€) and they will make you scrambled eggs on request at this price.
We were in a strange room at the top of the hotel that lacked windows (except in the bathroom, which was hard for modesty reasons). There were only two skylights in the bedroom and they were curtained and challenging to open so that we couldn't open them in the evenings for a bit of fresh air. Additionally, the room smelled of the wood used to make speck. It made quite an impression, and we couldn't figure out the source the first night. The next morning, we had the windows open and discovered that the smell must come from the restaurant kitchen. It smelled like the room was on fire. YIKES.
