Fantastic 7 nights stay at Malmo and what is there not to like about this place!
+ Firstly the staff truly makes your stay phenomenal. We loved speaking to Elios (with glasses) who is just the warmest soul and has the best chats about Crete and life in general - so passionate about both it’s infectious.
Elios (without glasses) was great with giving advice on amazing restaurants and helping us with our final transfer to the airport. Always kind and helpful.
We absolutely loved Eirini who is front of house for breakfast- she makes whatever morning beverage you like from cappuccinos to a good old English Breakfast Tea. She built such a lovely report with our five year old daughter and again has such a warm soul. Always smiling and lovely.
+ Malmo is what it says - a historic hotel and as result our room was just stunning! We opted for the huge Jacuzzi Bath tub which the kids and we loved after a day at the beach!
+ The best part of the hotel is its location! It is in the best part of old town (just on the out skirt) and we walked to visit every evening exploring the wonderful ice cream places, restaurants and fantastic shops! The hotel is in a lovely little street, close to a road and the guys (ie both Elios’s) were fantastic in helping with getting all of our bags (family of 4!) to and from the hotel on arriving and departing for our flight.
+ The breakfast is plentiful and delicious! There is such wonderfully traditional Greek food available as well as your usual eggs and continental etc The desserts are just delicious and the view from the balcony looking over the tops of the roofs of lovely little houses with calming music at the back is simply unforgettable. Definitely a relaxing start to the day.
+ We arranged private tours to all our destinations and it was easy to find our driver, a stones through away from the hotel.
We will definitely be coming back.

This hotel was in the cobblestoned alleyways of the old historic town. Not too close but a little far (>10 minutes) to work to the harbour and other touristy shopping areas.
I did not realise while booking that it is not possible to approach this hotel in a car and unload any luggage bags. They could have made it clearer in the description. It was painful to see some other guests lugging their bags through the cobblestoned alleys and saying they finally made it soon after we had a similar troublesome experiences getting to the hotel from a temporarily parked car location, before reparking in a city parking area a good 10-15 minutes walk away.
