Nice clean room with everything you need. Close to public transport and in the middle of everything. Namba station closeby

The location was fabulous- so close to Dotonbori and Namba station. The staff were friendly and helpful and the 2 kitchen/dining room staff were very attentive and welcoming.
The ice maker and welcome packs (toiletries/slippers/tea/coffee making) were a lovely touch.
The buffet breakfast (which was included with our room rate), was more than enough: fruit juice, tea/coffee, small amount of both Western and Japanese dishes, including pancake maker.
We knew the room would be small, but it really was too small to fit our bags (both of which were not even suitcases, but backpacks).
The check in process (using automated booths), were not user friendly, and it would have been nicer talking with an actual check in person.
The other point, is that even though our room was ready (1 1/2 hrs prior to check in time of 3pm), the person we spoke with, said it would cost an extra ¥2000) to check in. Considering the room was avail, this seemed quite petty, especially as other hotels we have stayed at (including Japan), have allowed an earlier check in at no extra cost.

Hotel is clean and in good location
The hotel staff would not call taxis for us when requested. They gave us a few business cards of taxi companies for us to call them ourselves. It was difficult since we do not speak Japanese. Other APA hotels we stayed at would arrange happily arrange a taxi for us. I do not understand why this specific hotel would not do that.
