The location is fantastic, the room was comfortable and a good size and the owner was so hospitable and couldn’t do enough for us. Oh and breakfast was the best we have had in Sri Lanka and we have stayed at 5 different places so far!

Fantastic location overlooking the lake floor to ceiling glass windows which allow you to see out without getting too hot. A lovely warm welcome by our host Randy who took us out on a little evening riding in his Tuk Tuk to see sunset wildlife. The bird table outside our room was visited by Indian green parrots and other birds but another highlight was to see a pair of toucans feeding from the table in front of our room. Yala wildlife safari park with Nishankar was fantastic. We saw leopards, sloth bear, elephant, deer, wild Buffalo. Local restaurants were plenty providing excellent food at recent prices.

The host was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. He arranged an amazing safari driver for us, and we were lucky enough to see elephants, leopards, crocodiles, buffaloes, and many other animals - including a leopard incredibly close to us in a tree! 🐆
The accommodation is brand new, spotless, comfortable, and has hot water. We were welcomed with drinks and fresh fruit, and after the safari, the host even surprised us with ice cream and drinks. Such thoughtful touches!
Definitely our favourite stay in Sri Lanka, and our only regret is staying for just one night. We couldn’t recommend it enough! 🤍

Very clean good location. Half an hour from Yala National Park.
There wasn’t a pool but as this stay was only to visit the main national park this wasn’t an issue.
