Would not recommend.

We were not given access info in time for check in, even after confirming arrival time with the host and when I followed up, the communication was all of a sudden slower than when they needed something from me. I did not feel comfortable with all of the question and requirements the host needed before approving the reservation. It was extreme compared to all other bookings any of us have had in the past. None of it was mentioned in their post as well, so I was caught off guard by all of the questions. Additionally, the photos in the post were NOT of the apt we got. There were some decor similarities, but it was clearly photos of a different unit (or maybe even multiple). Upon entering, it did not feel clean. There were stains and scuff marks on every single wall (and water stains on bathroom ceilings), so bad that I decided to take videos/photos of them in case the host tried to accuse us of any damage. There was so much dust and weirdly enough, hair on top of the thermostat. Other info that was missing from the post is that the unit was on the 3rd floor of a (outside) walk up. One of our members has a disability and it made it very difficult on our trip. I thought about complaining to the host, but didn't want to "rock the boat" during our stay as I already was feeling uneasy about the booking. Lastly, there is NO insulation/sound proofing anywhere in the unit. The glass coffee table top literally shook when a loud car when by. We were right beside a hospital (which shouldn't be an issue), but when an apt isn't built well, any & all noises echo throughout the unit, especially sirens. We had issues getting proper sleep without being woken up every few hours. The hosts know that it's an issue because they provide a set of earplugs on the nightstands in each room, but they were useless. For the price we paid, we expected much better.

Modestly priced for short notice. Clean trek to Logan Square and Downtown in under 20 minutes. Great local community.

Multiple check in delays and unannounced management around the property that inconvenienced our group. Dirty sheets and bathrooms. No cleaning equipment to clean up after ourselves despite the rules clearly stating to do so. Smell of a dead rat.
