10/10 would go again

The place was very beautiful and the hosts were kind and generous! They even helped us out one day when we got stuck down a hill, they towed us out! We enjoyed the house a lot, its small but has everything you need, great views, clear starry nights, a fireplace and comfortable beds.. We liked the loctaion as it is equally distant from all the attractions, and the nearby village had shops and restaurants etc... great hikes nearby and our dogs loved the walk to the river down the hill

the wifi was a bit slow but we managed

What a perfect place to spend a week! We loved our stay in the Serra de Estrella mtns.

Retiro do Aguincho was a beautiful, quiet, relaxing, peaceful place to stay! We had dinner at the trout restaurant below our lodging one night (highly recommend), walked on trails nearby, and went mtn biking with estrela ebike in the Serra de Estrella. It was a fantastic week!

The water was inconsistent temperature and hard to get right--either very hot, or cold. We couldn't figure out how to use the coffee pot, but used a pan on the stove, so everything was fine!

Great location and balcony

I loved the location, near fluvial beaches and you can hear the river from your room. The balcony and the view is great. The house is pretty and comfy. I liked the bed and I enjoyed my time here. At night you just hear the river and nothing else. Special place.
