The bedrooms in this historic inn were clean and comfortable, and the continental breakfast provided was ample, varied and good quality. But the real stand-outs of the stay were the delightful staff and the superb food prepared by the chef-patron. Our meals were original, excellently cooked and presented, and most importantly, tasty! This inn is well worth seeking out.

The hosts - nothing was too much trouble. All the staff are super friendly and wanted to ensure we had a wonderful stay which we did. A great community pub with fantastic atmosphere.
Also the food is superb - haven’t had such great ‘pub’ food in a long long time. We both agreed the dessert was sublime.
We will definitely be returning
It is an old pub so the en-suite uses a macerator which is necessary but not great

The room was beautiful, nice quiet location no traffic to wake up to, the landlady was very friendly and kind when we had an issue with our room she came straight over to help nothing was to much trouble, the pastries and juices were restocked daily such a nice touch that really made the stay feel luxurious.

Staff were friendly. Room and bar was clean.
The room was tiny, WiFi was shocking, did not reach the rooms.
