About this house rental
The perfect space for getting away from it all. Located at the heart of Gecko house on Manasota Key, this has everything you need for a wonderful time. Steps away from the pool, Lemon Bay and the Gulf. With our deeded beach access you will feel like you have the beach to yourself. No crowds or noise, just seashells, pelicans, dolphins and miles of beach.
Our one bedroom has a queen size bed with a pillow top mattress, great comfortable couch and recliner and a nice sized bathroom and kitchen. The screened in porch is a great place to start your day with a cup of coffee, or just relax anytime. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook a nice meal and the bathroom has plush towels and lots of hot water.
When you are ready to go to the beach just grab some of the beach towels and chairs and an umbrella and you’re ready to go! If you’d rather stay put, you can lounge by the pool and enjoy the sunshine and palm trees. Just relax.
The couch pulls out into a reasonably comfortable bed for one person if you have a relative or friend joining you for a day or two. Your only problem will be getting them to leave. 😁

This is our second time here. We only live 90 minutes from here, but it is the perfect staycation for us. We always come in May, and have been lucky both times to enjoy the property alone. The pool is an absolutely amazing atmosphere and we enjoyed using the grills onsite to cook food. We were a little disappointed that the beach has eroded away since last year, but once the tide starts to go down you can get down there and find a dry area and it's so private. We enjoyed that very much. Great little place, and a perfect location. We hope to come back next year as well.

Very clean apartment with all kinds of water toys, umbrellas, chairs etc to use at ocean. Lots of kitchen items to use too.

Marti was a great host! Perfect for a solo beach trip and included everything I could possibly need. Snacks and water were waiting for me when I arrived. The unit was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked so I was able to cook meals if I wanted. It felt very safe, in a quiet area. Bed was comfortable. It was a short walk to the private beach access and I spent every morning there, then came back and enjoyed the pool. Everything you would need for a day at the beach is provided. The screened in porch was great for mornings and evenings. I would definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

first of all, we loved our stay here. The owners are over-the-top nice and great at communications. The unit was clean and quaint and just great for the two of us. The only downside was the description that said they were "steps from the beach", which swayed our decision. Sadly, they are 320 steps from the beach (I counted) and you have to cross a street that on occasion can be very busy. If you are okay with being about two blocks from the beach, then this IS a wonderful place!
