What a fairy tale : coming back late at night to this charming hotel after a dinner out and seeing the owners' family playing cards in the kitchen after a long day of honest work.
Fabulous people, spectacular location, true charm, movie like setting.

Despite having booked dinner was told they weren’t opening Swimming pool
so very inconvenient! Nothing else

The location was superb, the room very comfortable and clean and pool was a bonus.
Our room was on the second floor without an elevator, this we were aware of, a young man and lady assisted us with our luggage which was very kind.
Unfortunately from that first day to our departure, was rather disappointing, no warmth, was not asked how we enjoyed our stay or was their anything they could help us with in regards to local attractions

We were not equipped for hiking. So the owner and his wife gave us their own hiking boots. Luckily the sizes were matching ours .

This hotel is full of charm and character. Perfectly located on the side of a river, at the end of a gorgeous village, you will be seduced by the typically French and beautifully furnished rooms. The secluded swimming pool is stunning too. The food is perfect, with locally sourced products and the owners and staff couldn't be nicer. We loved everything about this hotel and we can't wait to come back

Traditional basque architecture with fabulous paintings and wonderful antique furniture .The bedroom clean and the bed very comfortable . The history of basque Pelote represented throughout adding charm and character .
The manicured gardens and fruit trees a delight .
Even the room tea service with complimentary biscuits and patisserie was a special treat after a hike to the local mountain top.
Friendly welcome whenever entering or leaving the hotel foyer/grounds by all staff made the stay relaxed ,comfortable and wonderful .
Was a charming poetic dream like experience.
