About this house rental
Former location of the Matunuck Post Office from 1891-1903, this modern airy beach house was remodeled in 2015 from the studs, with great attention to detail, including leathered countertops throughout, sliding serving windows from the wet bar to the deck, pocket screen door, a large outdoor shower, while keeping the original staircase…just to name a few. Enter the first floor of the home from the large deck with a covered gazebo, the first floor of the home boasts a wet bar with serving windows, extensively furnished wrap around leathered granite countertop kitchen, spacious living room with comfy furniture, a full size pull out sleeper, a queen size bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The second floor has 3 queen bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, and laundry. The home is completely furnished with linens and towels, books, video and board games, guitar, TVs in each bedroom and living room, high speed internet, mini splits in each room, large deck with a covered gazebo and a separate patio wood fire pit, both with substantial seating, as well as another patio area with a grill and propane fire pit. There is an outdoor sower too. In the garage you will find all of your beach supplies, including beach chairs, beach carts, coolers, sand toys, and beach games. You will also find your lawn games including cornhole, can jam, ladder golf, croquet, and wiffle ball, as well as plenty of bikes and helmets for all ages. The property is mostly surrounded by beautiful primitive stone walls with mature trees, soft grass around the house area, with an extended side yard where you’ll find a relaxing platform swing and a slack line obstacle course for all ages/abilities among the mature trees. There is a vegetable and herb garden for your convenience, with crop dependent on conditions and useage.
Providence is 40 minutes away with the TF Green Airport 30 minutes away. This home is a short 1.9 miles (4 min drive) to East Matunuck Beach, one of the nicest beaches in New England, with a straight on view of Block Island and a long large rock jetty to climb on and watch the boats leaving Galilee (Block Island Ferry), and ideal for fishing. The Matunuck Oyster Bar is a 3 minute drive around the corner with other restaurants across the street and past the beach into Jerusalem, and the public park with basketball and tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields and a playground are just a short stroll away. Oh yeah, there’s also a 6 person hot tub and outdoor gas grilL, 2 fire pits and a large side yard with a slackline obstacle course for the kids...and adults. This house is the PERFECT family beach house getaway!

The house was perfect for our girls weekend the house was spacious and clean. The outdoor space was huge it was nice to relax outside with the firepit and hot tub. We all loved it and would go back to stay again.

Myself and 7 friends from college thoroughly enjoyed our girls weekend in celebration of our 50th bdays! Brian was a pleasure to work with and was always very quick to respond to any questions before, during and after our stay. The house has everything you could want/need from bikes, beach chairs and coolers to plenty of linens, towels, and pillows! We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy each others company in the living room on the chilly Friday night when we arrived. The large desk right off the kitchen also had plenty of sitting room and was very comfy. The yard is beautiful and the hot tub was the icing on the cake of a relaxing weekend with friends. The house is just a quick drive to the beach, Narraganset center and Newport...all which we enjoyed on our weekend too! Thanks so much Brian we all can't wait to return to your beautiful home!
