Walking into the home you are greeted by the dining area that opens to the kitchen ahead and the living room to your right. The kitchen is well appointed and freshly painted with a 1940’s feel. The living room is furnished with comfortable, mid century modern furniture, a smart TV with Hulu and a turntable with vintage albums. The upstairs includes a bathroom and two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with quality linens. The guest room consists of a trundle bed with two comfortable twin beds. Both bedrooms have been freshly painted and the wood floors of honey colored fir have been freshly refinished. The home is pet-friendly and allows up to two dogs for an additional $95 per dog. The backyard is fenced in and convenient for your dog. Please be sure to include "pets" with the number of people staying. Pets are people too! :) Because the VRBO billing system only accounts for one dog, please let us know if you will be bringing two dogs and we will add the additional charge to your reservation. This home is centrally located on Marquette’s west side in a quiet neighborhood, approximately four blocks to the Third Street restaurants, brew pubs, coffee houses, and shops, approximately four blocks to Northern Michigan University, approximately eight blocks to the Washington Street downtown, and approximately eight blocks to the beach. This home shares the property with a carriage house, which means there's another house in the back. The carriage house dates back to the days when a relative would live in the back house, also known as a "grandma house" or "mother-in-law house". The other home is also a vacation home (VRBO #2740656). The driveway is shared with the carriage house but your home has its own allotted parking space and has its own private fenced in backyard. The backyard has a grill with charcoal, lighter fluid, fire starter and cooking utensils as well as a fire pit with firewood for enjoying a relaxing evening with friends and family.
