This is a stunningly, beautiful cabin and location. It’s really a house and so comfortable and beautifully designed. There is nothing this place doesn’t have.
I received a text message from the owner a couple of days prior to our arrival, warning me that there was snow on the ground and that in the past a few of his guests had gotten stuck, and that he would never travel to the cabin without tire chains, and that he recommends tire chains or 4WD. I asked why that wasn’t published on the website when I booked. He responded that he does have it listed there. I apologized and admitted I must not have read everything. I just went through the process of booking again, have searched a very lengthy description, and do not see this reccomendation. Maybe I’ve missed it, but I’ve searched several times. Nevertheless, I do have a 4WD vehicle and suspected it would not be an issue for me. However I think it should be posted so possible guest know what they’re potentially getting into. Beautiful, well furnished, well priced place though.

Where do I start!! The host was incredible, helpful and so very sweet. The cabin was incredible; spacious, clean, easy to find and get into, fantastic views, with a fully loaded kitchen and dishwasher. The beds were so comfortable and the linen was soft and cozy. This cabin even had a pack-n-play, games and everything you need for children as well as adults. This is the best place I have ever stayed. We saw a whole heard of beautiful Elk. The sun coming up was just inspiring on the lovely deck that runs the whole side of the cabin. Short drive to Big Daddy's for the best meal (any meal) anytime of the day (and they are BIG helpings). Short drive to the Apple Barn and make sure you get a float! There is even a Family dollar in the little village area, along with a wine shop(tastings), a bakery(wonderful breakfast burritos and pastries) and souvenir shops.
There is nothing we didn't like. Just a note that we didn't think of...the elevation of 6K+. So if you have someone that has a hard time with breathing, like Asthma or needs oxygen, then this is not the place for you.
