A cozy, family friendly cottage on a well treed lot located right on the Drag River. This unique space offers a quiet getaway surrounded by nature. Inside you'll find 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, eat-in kitchen and family room - plus new bunkie (June 2021). **Please note - the bunkie is unavailable during the winter months as it is not heated** Enjoy the sounds of nature on the large deck or sit around the camp fire. Entertain yourself by swimming, fishing, canoeing, tubing down the river right to our dock, sun bathing, walking/hiking or cozying up to watch a movie. Sit back, relax and enjoy your time here!

We just got back from the weekend stay at this beautiful cottage. It was very quiet and the place is very secluded so there is a complete privacy. We really liked that there were several places outside where we could sit and relax. In this way, each couple had their own space to sit and enjoy the view. We fished from the dock. The most successful fishing is in the evening, after 5 pm. The place is clean, warm and has everything you wish for.

Really wasn't anywhere to relax and read a book outside or limited options to sit in, water (river) was very weedy and we ended up getting what the pharmacists in town called swimmers itch from the river. The cottage is quite dark and set back in trees so limited light wasn't ideal. Overall very mediocre and really limited water activities to take part in with the weedy shallow water.

Wonderful little cottage with everything you could possibly need. Location was perfect! The river location was fun and we highly recommend using the water rings. Communication with the host was excellent and we definitely book again if we were in the area.

Had an amazing time! It was very private and the sound of the river was wonderful. We had beautiful campfires went tubing, fishing, swimming and enjoyed movies and games inside and outdoors. The host was awesome and so helpful. Great little gem!

Our family if 5 had a fantastic stay. The cottage was well kept, well stocked and had that cozy cottage feel. The property was beautiful and was so quiet and peaceful. The hosts were fantastic, providing us with a great welcome package and always quick to answer any questions we had. Added bonus of being close to 2 towns if you need to grab anything. Overall excellent experience.

The property is clean and well stocked for what you need on the inside and outside. Every year I choose a place and go on a solo adventure. Karen and Peter's cottage as well as the area did not disappoint! Karen was extremely helpful with questions prior to my arrival, they leave a super informative packet upon arrival and are readily available for additional questions. It was a great place to relax, write music, grill out, read... all of it. Great hiking spots nearby as well. The property and the trails were postcard worthy. I highly recommend this spot.

Nice secluded cottage but near 2 towns for anything you need. Gracious and communicative hosts. Peaceful spot. Will be back for sure! Glad we came in our suv for the end of winter road conditions.

My family of 5 had a wonderful time at Karen and Peter's lovely cottage. The cottage itself is very well cared for and very homey. We were looking for a true cottage experience--cozy, comfortable and quiet--and this place did not disappoint. The location was stunning, perched on a hill above the river, surrounded by woods and even with the winter trees bare, lots of solitude and privacy. Karen and Peter are great hosts, very responsive and accommodating, and helped make our stay easy and carefree. We would definitely go back. Thank you, Karen and Peter!

The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Such a beautiful view looking out onto Drag River. The wood stove keep us warm and cozy. Lots of trails close by for hiking too. Great cottage if you’re looking to disconnect and relax.

We weren't impressed with the hair and dust in the beds and fridge. There was loose cheezies left on the top shelf in one of the cupboards. There was no milk jug, juice jug or kettle in the cottage, these are basics.

We loved our stay on Dragonfly Lane - the river was beautiful and lots of fun to tube down, and the cottage is clean and comfy. A very scenic and peaceful spot close to the town of Minden. Karen and Peter were great hosts and very easy to communicate with. We would definitely come back!

Loved our stay. Highlights were bringing the provided tubes down the lane and tubing back to the cottage down the river. Some days the rapids were quite exciting! Also the sun set right on the dock and various seating areas. Beautiful views! Brand new kayak and many other water toys and sports provided. Great fishing too! Caught a fish every time we cast our line. There were 2 adults and 2 teenagers and just enough room. There is a bunkie as described but more of a camping experience out there than the luxuries of a cottage. Also no cell service but wifi worked great! Over all a very peaceful getaway!

We really liked this property. Everything was as advertised and a nice quiet relaxing spot on the river. The one downside to this booking I was surprised by how little was provided. You need to bring all of your own dish towels, hand towels and bedding even including pillows which was a first for us at a rental property. Overall was really nice though and would stay again.

We just left this beautiful cottage with our family of four. It was a fully equipped cottage with everything you need to enjoy a getaway with family or friends. Extremely clean, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom which has been recently renovated. Tubing was fun and we enjoyed the picture perfect views from the deck. A lovely place to stay and Is highly recommended.

We had a glorious time at this cottage. Even though the weather didn't cooperate for the first part of our stay, it didn't matter. The cottage is so cosy and comfortable, and you can hear the rushing river from its windows. We enjoyed swimming by the dock (not deep, so great for our daughter, who's still learning) and tubing down the river. Also it's proximity to Minden is super convenient. Overall, it was just the perfect getaway into nature, where we could listen to birds and enjoy the water and unwind.

Super quiet riverside getaway. This property is very easy to get to from main roads/highways. Very clean and lots of cookware and utensils. Wifi has excellent speed. Lots of games, DVD's and water toys for families. Thank you for the much needed break!

We rent a lot of cottage properties and this one is a real gem. The property itself is lovely. We especially loved the deck surrounded by mature cedars and the sounds of the river. The cottage is outfitted with everything you need and the hosts are lovely. Definitely worth a visit - we’d love to return when it’s warm enough to get in the river!

The property was amazing, nested away in the middle of the forest just by the river, where the only thing you could hear is the river running by the property. The house was cozy, with amazing temperature control and great set up for cooking and spending time with family (board games, puzzles, DVDs). Looking forward to booking again in the future, hopefully in the summer to experience a new season (winter / spring was amazing, LOTS of snow).

Had a fun long weekend away at the cottage. The place was cozy and picturesque in the snow, and Karen was an excellent host, very informative and responsive. One thing to note is that, although it wasn't a problem for 4 people, the bunk room (which contains the bunk beds) was not available in the winter.

Right from the first day the property owners were so pleasant to deal with and accommodating. I surprised my wife for her birthday and packed up our two small dogs. We spent three nights there and could not of loved it more! We will 100% return in the summer to enjoy the rapids!

We had an amazing week at this property. It was ad advertised, no surprises. The host was very responsive to questions. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked in terms of appliances, dishes etc. Was very relaxing sitting on the deck listening to the river.

Our family had such a wonderful time here! The cottage was clean with all the amenities to make it fun. The gorgeous tranquil scenery was just what we wanted. We were a little nervous about the river at first but when we realized we could swim up and float back to our dock, we loved it. Karen and Peter are great hosts and so responsive with any question we had before and during our stay. Thank you!

We had a wonderful week on Drag River ! The cottage was just as advertised, cozy and was equipped with all the essentials and a few extras ! (River tubes, sun umbrella for the deck) Great hobby fishing , the River is clean and the rapids were fun! No air conditioning so it got really hot in the evenings as the weather was hot and humid during our stay. We would definitely stay again !
