Excellent location, Koen is an excellent host. I was attending a conference and he facilitated a very early breakfast. The B&B is spotless and the bed was super comfy. Highly recommend this B&B.
The stairs is a little steep but authentic to a house built hundreds of years ago and renovated to a very high standard.

A real hidden gem in Mechelen. From the moment we arrived, Koen made us feel completely at home: friendly, attentive, and full of great tips for restaurants and things to do in the city
The room was spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated, and very comfortable
Breakfast was the highlight of the stay: fresh, varied, and clearly made with care. Not the usual hotel buffet experience at all. And Koen accommodated all the requests about timing and preferences
The location is ideal: the historic centre is just a short walk away, with plenty of attractions within easy reach
Highly recommend: great value, great host, great breakfast. We'll definitely be back
