Hummingbird Hideaway, once the Mayor of Tybee's personal residence, this elegant beach abode is located on Tybee Island's midbeach, steps from the 8th St beach walkover and conveniently situated on the famous Tybee bike path. This beautifully furnished home has the perfect layout for large families or groups to spread out, reconnect, and getaway for some fun on and off the beach in this adorable little beach town. We have everything you need to come unwind and relax at the beach-beach cart, chairs, umbrella, and sand toys included. OVERVIEW OF THE HOUSE 4 Large bedrooms, Sleeps 10 comfortablly with 2 king beds and two queen, makes it a great please for large families or groups. Equiped with 2 living room areas to hang out (one for adults and one for kids/teens) and an office serving as an extra media room/office or baby nook, this house has plenty of space to relax. Bedroom/Bathroom Details: -Primary is a King suite with bonus office/media room that offers complete privacy for work, watching the game (42in flat screen) or young child to sleep close to parents (futon sleeper sofa and enough room for a pack n play) -Second King bedroom is spacious with total privacy -Third Queen bedroom with 34in flat screen TV -Fourth Bunk room with super comfy queen sleeper sofa and set of bunk beds, and media area (42in flat screen and X-Box can serve as a second living room for kids! -All have super comfy pillow top beds! -3 full bathrooms (all with full showers and great water pressure) Common Areas and Amenity Details: -Laundry room with large washer dryer -Plenty of relaxing hang out spaces inside, living room has 50in flat screen -Large dining room with seating for 10 -Kitchen fully stocked with everything you need and more! -Breezy screened in porch with plenty of seating, twinkle lights and fan! -Awesome and huge covered outdoor patio space with cushion seating -Outdoor dining table for 12 and gas grill -Beach cart, beach chairs, and toys all included!!!!! -Private full outdoor shower!!!!! -Airhockey table, books, puzzles, board games. OVERVIEW OF THE LOCATION This home is located on a large corner lot, in a quiet neighborhood. The beach is a straight shot and just steps away from the 8th Street beach walk-over to one of the most secluded parts of the award-winning Tybee Island beach. So many great activities to do...beach combing, swimming, fishing, and boogie boarding, and relaxing on Tybee time. Also, within easy walking and biking to the local grocery store, surf shops and restaurants. What's more, the historic squares, shopping, museums, award wining restaurants, and ghost tours of Savannah are only 20 minutes away. When you come, stay awhile, pour yourself some sweet tea (or stronger libation), listen to the sound and feel of the ocean breeze from the screened in porch. Look around and you might catch a glimpse of one of our famous hummingbirds in the garden!

What a wonderful place. Love the property and management. Just a great place and time that fit our needs. Plenty of room, loved the kitchen, great location to all attractions on the island and Savannah. Am looking forward to next year. Would definitely recommend.

What a great place! We were scheduled for afternoon check in but we were notified ahead of time that we could check in early without paying extra. Excellent. The driving/parking instructions, and those for check-in were perfect. Upon arrival and looking around, the VRBO pictures were accurate. The house was spotless. There was a gift basket on the table with printed instructions and general information about the area. The location was perfect. Walk two blocks and you are at the beach and main road. Restaurants are along the "main drag" about half a mile from you. Early November we had the area to ourselves. No crowds and one of our days we had beautiful sunshine with mild breezes so walking on the beach was fun. The house has plenty of beach "stuff" - chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, umbrellas/tents, and a wagon for carrying it all to the beach. The host provided beach towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, all linens and plenty of linens in the kitchen as well. She provided extra toilet paper, paper towels, laundry and dish detergent. The kitchen was super complete with utensils, dishes, cookware, etc. It was a wonderful long weekend trip. Four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was adequate for 2 couples and 2 singles (all over 65). There are stairs to 2 of the bedrooms. There are steps to enter the residence.
We had one oops moment and the host handled within 30 min. She was easy to contact and quick to respond. Great trip.

This spot worked perfectly for our impromptu family reunion. It had plenty of space for all of us (6 adults, 3 kids), and was stocked with great kitchen gear for the night we cooked at home. We took advantage of all the beach stuff (wagons/chairs/easy up/toys) and had a blast every day. Responses to questions were extremely fast and greatly appreciated. 5 stars all around, thanks for having such a great beach house!

Thanks to Lindsay for great hosting. The communications are smooth and quick. The place is a perfect size for our group of 7. We enjoyed the porch, nicely decorated rooms, and spacious bathrooms with good AC. The house has everything any visitors will need. All the water sports equipment, chairs, umbrellas and the carts are very helpful.

We have stayed in Tybee the last few years after Christmas and this is our favorite spot so far. This is a spacious and beautifully decorated home on a quiet street right across from the best stretch of beach on the island (mid Beach). The weather was a little colder this year so we really appreciated having the extra indoor space to hang out. Very well stocked kitchen for cooking, good books and games. I highly recommend it!

This spot was perfect! It was a less than 5 minute walk to the beach, and the house had literally everything needed (chairs, umbrellas, etc). The house was spacious and Lindsay was great at communicating to answer all the questions I had. We will definitely go back in the future!

We had the best time in Tybee and the house was perfect! I had to work for two days while I was there and the internet was perfect! I did several video conferences with no problems at all. We had everything we needed and enjoyed all of the spaces. The decor is perfect for the beach and everything is modern. Communication was perfect and Lindsey went the extra mile for us which we greatly appreciated. I would come back here again and do it all over hands down! Thank you for everything!

The house was lovely--very clean and great location. It was a great size for multiple families and had a lot of amenities for kids. The owner generously let us park at the house on checkout day, so we could go to the beach before heading home. We hope to visit again in the future.

A highly recommended, very special place.
I can't say enough about this property. It's even better than the pictures and the description. The house is clean, comfortable, spacious, and very well kept. The neighborhood is calm and quiet. And the beach, which is literally just down the street, is big and beautiful. The property owner, Lindsay, is phenomenal and great to work with. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for an amazing stay including checking in and recommending dining, sites and local activities she felt would be interesting for our family of 5. I would recommend this property to my closest friends and family because I'm 100% sure anyone that stays here will find this to be a very special place.

We really enjoyed our stay. The whole house was on a beautiful property and sorry walk to beach so we didn't have to pay Tybee parking. The only thing that needed cleaning was the outside grill. We had to replace propane and get the grill working. I would add an air fryer. Nothing else to complain about. We would absolutely stay again! Loved it
