The friendly, chatty and helpful staff. Loved how dog friendly it was. And the food was well portioned and DELICIOUS.
Rooms were a little tired - decor/carpets but they were very clean. It actually made me feel more comfortable having my two big dogs staying in the room.

We are very happy with our stay, it completely met our expectations.
Pub with character serving great Dartmoor ale and a tasty full English breakfast.
Our room was clean, tidy, quiet, nicely prepared and waiting for us when we arrived after hiking.
Friendly service - highly recommended.

Owner / manager very friendly and helpful.
The bathroom floor was absolutely filthy. I used Toddie paper to sweep up months' worth of hair, dirt and dust from the edges of the bathroom floor. Other surfaces in the room was also dusty.
