The site on which the lodge resides is great for families. Plenty of parking, safe, kids play areas, tennis, table tennis, pool tables. The lodge was very clean inside and quiet at night. Owner was responsive to calls/texts. Appreciated the biscuits and bottle of Prosecco left for us on our arrival.
Take your own tennis rackets/football. Although the website advertises these as being available in the lodge, there was one tennis racket and one badminton racket. The football was a basketball and was unfortunately needing air. However this did not detract from an overall enjoyable stay.

Comfortable- nice shower and bath with lots of hot water. Good location with nice walks and proximity to cafes, car charger etc.
Struggled a bit with the heating- the weather was chilly- but did succeed.
Would have been nice to look out over the lake or garden from the living room, rather than cars but that was shown in the photographs.
