ideal location, a bit of a walk (10 min) to the nearest station but not a deal breaker, complimentary coffee, beer, snacks, water, juice, etc at the lobby were amazing.

I never tried the free beer and other things in the lobby other than ice and water but it's nice that they had that available! The location is superb and the room was attractive and spacious enough, with a very modern design.
I speak Japanese and English and it was still hard to communicate with the front desk staff, but really almost everything was self serve so it didn't ultimately matter too much.

Location and price
Making EVERYONE wait until 4pm exactly before you could check in or pay a 700 yen/hr surcharge to check-in “early” This created a long line of people waiting to check in at 4, which could have totally been avoided. Also, having to pay 550 yen per bag per day for them to store a bag between stays at the hotel. Other hotels we stayed at in Japan did not have either of these policies and were more welcoming.
