The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club is a gated community of condominiums. There are three professional style tennis courts with night lighting. The large remodeled swimming pool is ideal for “laps” and also for small children and other water activities. Showers and restrooms are conveniently located in the large pavilion near the swimming pool and tennis courts.
One of the most interesting features of the Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club are the numerous archaeological sites. These preserved areas provide a glimpse of Hawaiian life years ago. Each site has a posted description of the activities that took place years and years ago.
The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club has many gardens and walking trails. ONE GOES DIRECTLY TO A BEACH!! Flowers and tropical foliage are abundant. There are several outdoor barbecue areas for guests to go to.
Located just below the Keauhou Shopping Center and around the corner from Keauhou Bay, you'll be close to lots of great shopping, dining, banking, movie theater, water sports, fishing, snorkeling, golfing and more!

I would suggest that it be made clear that the parking spot for the unit is NOT available. Also a small stool for us short people would be a plus. Loved the privacy this unit offers and found it comfortable for our month's stay. The lanai is particularly lovely as it is screened in and comfortable.

This is an amazing condo in so many ways, large and small. First of all, the condo complex itself is very nice with mature landscaping and good maintenance. The condo is in an ideal location in a very private corner of the complex. We were there for 4 weeks and other than the complex staff, we rarely saw anyone walk by our lanai. The large screened lanai was just amazing. Having the screening made the lanai feel much more private and made this large condo seem even larger. There is a private large lawn area out from the lanais of Building 6 with a gas grill and charcoal grilling area with lighting out at the edge of the lawn. Although it isn't obvious in the condo photos, there is a lanai screening panel that slides opens to the lawn area. The condo is well appointed with lots of nice extra touches. There are plenty of towel rings and bars in the bathrooms and even a towel bar in the kitchen. Loved the lights strung in the ceiling of the lanai. The folding laundry rack was also very helpful and great for beach towels and swimsuits. The dry bar on the lanai was a very nice touch...especially having the extra small fridge for canned drinks. The dry bar countertop was really pretty...dark gray with blue flakes that either faded to dark blue or became iridescent light blue depending on which way you looked at it The washer and dryer were top notch and the dishwasher was so quiet you barely could hear it. The owner is the author of a published book about Big Island that is a good read. It's in the drawer below the TV. If you are considering this first floor condo due to mobility issues, be advised that there are 6 steps up to the front door (4 then 2) and you will not be able to use the assigned parking space in front of the condo. There are plenty of guest spaces just beyond the Building 6 parking area.
