Out of all the places we stayed in Scotland and Ireland during our 17 day visit, Cavell House was the best. The location, a block from the beautiful River Ness and very close walking distance to town, is unbeatable. It's close enough to shops and restaurants to be convenient but far enough to feel peaceful and remote. The proprietress had everything we needed. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had our luggage delivered while we took a side trip to the Isle of Skye between visiting Edinburgh and Inverness, and our heavy suitcases were brought upstairs to our room by the time we arrived.

Our stay was very pleasant. Camilla is a lovely person and she made sure we had a nice stay. The property is centrally located yet very quiet. The whole place, as well as the room, was spotless and had some very nice touches (towels in a basket, hair conditioner, a dressing table, etc.). One of the nicest and cleanest places we stayed at!
