I was so impressed with Aye Stay, it was spotlessly clean, welcoming, comfortable with fantastic amenities and was so well thought out. There is a very friendly atmosphere.
Even though I had a single room, it was not cramped and was not basic, it was far better than I had expected. The bed was very comfortable, the decanter of water was a lovely touch and the en suite was modern and had everything I needed.
The really brilliant thing about Aye Stay is its boutique style communal areas. There is a large and stylish dining room plus a very well stocked kitchen - crockery, cutlery, coffee machine, dishwasher, fridge etc all available to use if desired. There is also a cosy snug where I spent the evening after dinner with other members of my party.
They had booked a more expensive hotel but Aye Stay was definitely nicer.
I enjoyed my stay very much and would happily stay again.

The hotel’s interior design can only be described as Scottish kitsch but it’s absolutely wonderful! It put a big smile on my face from the moment I arrived until I left. The room was small, but clean, well equipped and comfortable. The communal spaces offer alternatives for anyone who wants more space. Can recommend the reading room!
