Incredible B&B overlooking Guanajuato. The host makes you feel like home, give you tips and serve an excellent mexican breakfast.
The heated pool is also so nice.
The accessibility by car may be a bit tricky as Guanajuato is steep and full of narrow streets

Flo and Rene’s beautiful property is perfectly situated for enjoying a stay in pretty Guanajuato. Perched on the side of one of the many hills surrounding the town, it’s an easy 10/15 minute walk to the bustling centre and a quick taxi ride back if you don’t fancy the uphill walk (like us!)
Our huge room had an amazing view over the town and the enormous bed was really comfy. The adjacent sitting room had bottled water, tea and coffee available all day and their pool was a nice respite after walking in the heat of the day too.
But the real reason you’d want to stay here (if the above is not enough to convince you ;-)) is the warm welcome you have from this sweet family who will accompany you over a delicious (different every day) freshly cooked Mexican breakfast (thanks to their local chef Leti) and give you invaluable tips about places to visit and what to do.
It’s a real home from home and I wouldn’t hesitate to return if we come back to Guanajuato.
(I’m also really glad we chose to stay here as opposed to the centre of town which can get very noisy)

Away from the noisy center but within walking distance. Excellent breakfast that changed daily with granola, yogurt, fresh fruit salad and a Mexican dish. Sunset happy hour view over Guanajuato. Very spacious comfortable room and bathroom with modern plumbing. Exceptionally welcoming family sharing their home with guests. Helpful and accommodating hosts. Elevator in their home for that last push almost to the top.
We loved the property. Be prepared for hills. Rene gave us a good route to get to and from town but the center is at the bottom of the valley and they are up on a side hill. Hence the gorgeous view. Ubers and taxis are not expensive and can deliver you to the door however the streets get very congested so patience is your friend. We seniors walked everywhere and loved the exercise.

So spacious - your personal bedroom and bathroom but also the common living room. Breakfast in the family dining area was wonderful- met other guests as well as Flo’s parents who happened to be visiting. Rene and Flo were hosts that go above and beyond to make you comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent- always fruit/yogurt/granola and breads plus a freshly prepared Mexican specialty by their great cook. Excellent strong coffee too!
The pool is lovely - nice on a warm afternoon. It’s just 10-15 min walk downhill to the centre and so much to see and do. A cab home is less than 100 pesos if you decide enough walking!
