Plus, Sara hasn't overlooked a single detail – the welcome gift of fruit and wine made us feel right at home, while the toiletries in the bathroom (there's everything from slippers to cotton swabs and toothbrushes) are just icing on the cake. In the evenings, take your bottle of wine up to the communal roof and watch the sunset over Rome's rooftops. Centrally located between Piazza Venezia and the Colosseum (just a fifteen-minute walk away), Monti is the perfect spot to live like a local.
