Location-wise, it's the ideal. Everything worth seeing is within walking distance. Breakfast is excellent, but you need to walk to a hotel for it. It's not far, but it's inconvenient. There's daily maid service. However, we never saw the host (we were there for 2 days). The house is historical and lovely, but the rooms are extremely difficult to access. I run 10k five times a week, and I still found it a nuisance. Our dog, a fat five-year-old Golden Retriever, also struggled enormously. Also, a propos the age of the house, the floorboards felt really springy. If you walk to the bathroom at night one might think you're doing the flamenco judging by the noise level... And, yes, the house is relatively recently renovated, but the renovation is not new. Many things show their age. On the plus side, there are complimentary toiletries and still water in the rooms.
We had two rooms - Pistache and Berry. The first one only has a bathtub, no shower. The second has a shower. The bathtub was a pain. The shower cord is plastic and it twisted both near the faucet connection and also near the handheld. Terrible way to try and clean yourself up. But perhaps even more irritating was how slowly the bath drained. We were two in that room, and it took ages to get cleaned up, because the bathtub took 30 minutes to drain.

Breakfast was amazing, and the space was beautiful
We stayed in the superior loft which was incredible, but it was so. hot. There’s only a mobile a/c and even when on, it blows hot air out the back. The room never cooled down and was unfortunately miserable to sleep in. We didn’t even want to take a hot bath in the beautiful tub. :( also, the staff did not reply to messages through booking.com until it was too late, or not at all. For the price I expected better service.
