Room looked like a Royal Suite on first impression. Bed was comfortable. Spacious wardrobe with safe and fridge. Twin sinks in bathroom was a bonus. Location was fantastic - just around the corner from main market square and boat rides a 2 minute walk away. Parking was great and right by apartment. Bar next door closes early so no disturbance.
Electrics! It wasn't possible to turn on just the bathroom lights in the room we were in - they only worked if you turned on the other lights first and left them on - not great if you need to use the facilities during the night! There was also a load vibration noise from above the ceiling all afternoon/evening. It wasn't constant but was every 2-3 minutes. This was annoying when trying to go to sleep. Might only have affected our particular room.

This was an amazing stay. Marleen at check in was a joyful, friendly and incredibly helpful welcome to Bruges. She gave us a rundown of how best to see the city sights, booked us a dinner reservation nearby and even showed us around the sights of the Hotel Swaene next door.
The room was amazing with a beautiful canal view in the heart of Bruges - this was one of the best stays we have ever booked.

The room was nice, spatiois and clean. The bathroom and bathtub were great.
There was a loud buzzing noise every couple of minutes in the room. We originally thought it was coming from the AC unit, but even when we turned it off the buzzing sound continued. The buzzing noise persisted every few minutes all night long. Even with earplugs I could hear it clearly. It was a struggle to fall asleep. We also gave directly onto the canal which gave great views but it should be noted that tourist boats go by every 30 seconds all day long with a tour guide shouting in a microphone. The room was not soundproof enough so even with the windows closed we could hear it very clearly. However the tour boats do stop in the evening so it's not a bother at night. Might be a bother if you want to sleep later in the morning though.
