Location was really good, a short walk from the square.
Bed was rock hard on a metal base with no duvet, just a blanket. Stairs not very well lit to find the 4th floor if not using the lift.

Location, smooth self check-in, nice communal areas
My room had issues:
1) heavy leak of water from the shower to the room (there are gaps between the tiles and the tap's piping, fixing that would be elementary). This might be the cause for the smell of mould in the room.
2) missing lower latch in a window which was not closing properly (an issue in winter)
The rubber floor in the room isn't fancy

The location was super good, on a road full of flowers right in the centre of the city.

The staff (when you meet them) was very helpful and friendly, although communication is English was sometimes a challenge (messages were sent in Portuguese). The location is excellent and air condition is very much appreciated during the hot days. The room was clean and practical. If you want, you can use the kitchen, too, since the accommodation is de facto a big shared apartment.
When booking a room with a bathroom, you would expect a toilet, too. Yet, you have to share it with the other guests in the apartment. One does survive this, but it MUST be made clearer in the communication on booking.com.
Breakfast means, that you are served a selection of food in the morning on a plate in front of your room, while you have to prepare the coffee yourself. The coffee machine in the kitchen wasn't working one morning, and if the wonderful cleaning staff would not have been there, the solution of the problem would have been more complicated. I'd recommend to rather take breakfast in some of the nearby cafés.
